I doubt it. It's a wild idea thrown up in the air. It's a bit like taxing people £400 a year for anything over a 2.0 which was discussed...and a number of times.

ooh look, Labour and Lib Dems ideas. fookers need hanging. disgrace to the country and the people who make up Great Britain.

And I was hoping they would be increasing the speed limits on motorways.

France and Spain have a good system. Their normal limit is about 85mph, but if it's wet or foggy etc, the limit is reduced to 70mph.

If the limit was reduced to this extreme, I would no longer use the roads. I would have a track car and ride a bicycle to the shops.

Damn it, that's what the green morons want :slap:

i doubt that will ever come in they been trying to lower the speed limit fo years and got nowhere, could you imagine the caos on the roads.

Oh yer that would work delieveries would never get made lol

they need to think of the big picture, and obviously these imbacils cant think past the last bad idea they had.

If we dont drive, or drive very little and find alternative means of transport where would the government get it 2.8 billion in fuel tax that it allegedly uses for road repairs and NHS funding?

OK so thats 1 blatant oversight. So how about the workforce that would be laid off overnight? OK think on it. there has to be 100,000 people at least employed in fuel stations that again in garages and car sales. So we make them all redundant. They go n the rock and roll. They not only contribute 0 money into the country through tax, but instead draw money from it.

So we all go by bike and never use the cars. OK pictue it, everyone has a bike and we are on them at once... Now I have been to asia where this is the case and you cant park a bike anywhere, there are too many bikes. They even have bike wardens to give you tickets adn take away any bike that is left in teh same place overnight as many people loose their bikes.

LOL Speed kills???? NOPE!!! Inappropriate use of speed kills!!!! Also chugging round town trying to save petrol only cloggs up your engine - causing higher emmisions  Shame the people in control are so ill informed...

Amen brother!

Thing is, everyone knows this (except for the green lobby, who are certain cars are the devil's work). Yet when the government spouts its crap that emissions and higher speed limits will kill our children, most of the public fall for the spin and accept the legislation

WAKE UP, PEOPLE :slap:

Richard ;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

LOL well its true! The way to reduce accidents is better driver training! IMO the police should have the powers to take the shit drivers off the road until they take a new course/test and prove they can actually drive. Its ****ing rediculous - driving is taken as a right by most people in this country! The standard of driving in this country is a disgrace! 50% of the people on the roads need their keys taken off them and to be tought some proper road sense! The one that gets me most is the mums in their 'private mini buses' - with ONE kid in the car (if any at all). Why the **** do they need a car which is obviously far too big for them to handle? Because its a new status symbol - just like the private school brigade with their 4x4s clogging up the roads and intimidating everyone!

At the end of the day a car is a lethal weapon so unless you have the ability to control the thing then don't even bother getting in the drivers seat! And don't even get me started on the 'OAP right to cause havock everywhere' gang!!!!

Like I said, its not a right to drive!

Ah well thats road safety cleared up :D Next topic? :D

LMAO yeah cos we all know that most children's playgrounds are in the middle lane of the M6

Emmisions wont kill our children, drugs will but what are they doing about that.

They collect 42billion from road users per year and put it in the end of a riffle so we can shoot at people.

I think its about time we had a fuel strike
