I have just booked my car in for another service.

 

The last service was on the 8/1/01 and here we go again barely a month later.

 

I service mine every 3000 miles as I like to think the Turbo oil is clean and new as possible.

 

Do you all think this is over the top? I'm a bit tired of driving the Hyundai Amica courtesy car so the longer I leave it, the better!

I suppose that changing oil frequently never hurts.

Although the interval depends a lot on the way the car is used (more frequent when used a lot in city-traffic)

I changed my oil every 3K myself, untill 1 month i was just too busy going thru Nintendo Subission at work. SO i had nissan change it and what did i get Yum Semi Synthetic ELF crap. 1K later Turbo go's bang you guys know the rest.

 

I would learn to do the oil change if i were you, POP if you have long arms and a plank you dont even need a jack + you will save money and have peace of mind that you are putting good oil in the car.

 

3K Oil changes WILL drastically improve the life of your engine , turbos especially so i would recommend everyone changes there oil every 3K with Fully synthetic.

I would agree with Nico and Eric though... Changing the oil and frequently more frequently is always a good thing.

Christ Chris with me it's 3000 miles or 1 month whichever comes first. Normally the former!!!!!

 

I filled the tank up 3 times over the weekend.

 

I must stop playing with it, they say it makes you go blind!!!!
