It seems that many of you guys seem so keen on a slicktop Zed.

Other than the fact they are quite rare is there any other reason?

The fact you can take the roof off was one of the main deciding factors for me to have a Zed over an RX7, Supra or GTO. I also had a T-bar MR2 tubs before so felt I could not let the "roof off" thing go.

So go on.....why???

I still have my 1995 TT Manual Slicktop,  it is a totally different tighter better driving car than the LWB.   It is in at the moment getting an almost full restoration and respray, there was not a lot wrong other than rotten spoiler and a tiny bubble on each door which turned into needing 2 new doors.  I decided to invest in it as they are becoming a bit more desireable

Mine is a 93 slick top it had a new rear spoiler on the back due to some delightful little blessing in Wales deciding to walk up the bonnet over the roof and then jumping off the original spoiler breaking it plus a mate kicking the driver's door mirror off . So its had all that repaired about 3 years ago .next plan is a full respray new cats ,seats due to the leather turning into cardboard overnight?? Don't know why ?  Then fit a boost controller to tease a bit more without going overboard and hopefully when we're allowed out to play meet up with some of you guys.

As for the handling I've had a lwb and swb and loved both for different reasons . The tin top is a more focused drive bit more tight to drive but very very satisfying. The 2+2 felt more relaxed and pliable very stable at higher speeds but still very fast and great fun to use when pushing some so called quick BMW 's and I have to say surprised a few mx5 and MR2 Mk3 owners through the twisty stuff. Generally I just think if it's a zed 300zx tin top or 2+2 or 350z or 370z doesn't matter they all have the DNA and are great cars perhaps one day they will get the recognition they rightly deserve.

Slick Top Z32 are Rare aproximatly 2744 were ever produced from Nissan! They were the Cheap Base Model or the Model Nowa day's Due to their rareity their Value is skyrocketing well actually all Z32s in OEM Mint condition are but the Slick Top is now considered a Unicorn so hard to find especially in Mint OEM condition anything that is Rare fetches a Premium and that fact makes me Happy as I have owned a 1991 Z32 TT Slick Top since 1999 in that time it has consistantly over the last 13 year's of ownership tried to kill itself

I just could not Part with it so I decided to restore it I could not let her go out like that It has been one hell of an expensive adventure now she is almost fully restored back to OEM mint conditon Minus the usual Engine Deletes VG30DETT Engine was semi Forged with Wiseco Pistons, 300K Impul Speedo, new Engine Bay Wireloom Black Red Stitched Leather seat skins and Steering wheel, aftermarket 18 inch Dizel Rims, upper camber adjusters etc! Tein Flex Coilovers, Respray in OEM AH3 Metallic Wine Red

Still have a way's to go

never ending but worth it
