Hi guys,

I need to adjust the neg camber I have on the rear tyres so took the Z to BMTR in birmingham for the 4 wheel laser line up . . . . . . . Well after at least an hour of fighting with the adjusting bolts the operator had to give in as the bolt/nuts were well and truely siezed on.

His sugestion was to have the siezed items heated up (which will destroy the bushes) and replaceme the nuts, bolts and bushes with new ones.

Anyone else share this problem and if so what is the best way of getting it sorted . . . . . . . I have also heard that if it is burnt out that the bush comes as an integrated part of the top link . . . . . . again your input will be much appreciated.

thx

if the bolt is siezed in the metal sleeve in the centre of the bush then this may be the only answer sadly, you could try soaking it with penetrating oil for a couple of days to see if it frees off first.

i think the bush is part of the top link also - speak to mike feeney @ MJP

Try Smithy for the arms.

Beware, if they are similar nuts to the ones holding the front camber arms in place you will find they are single use nuts, not cheap either, even MJP had to order from Japan and can take up to 3 weeks! You may be able to gently grind from both sides and split the nut?

Thanks Andy . . . . . makes sense to go that route and upgrade at the same time . . . .btw looked at your ride . . . do you know where I can pick up a set

of recessed fogs like yours . . . tried toyota for celica ones and they quoted

me £75 +vat each

Fronts or rears? Fronts are standard UK spec, rears are from zcentre...

breaker bar should shift them then max out the adjustment - you'll still be on neg camber but not as much

Theres a pair of apex adjustable rear camber arms on driftworks forum private for sale section for £100 new if any one intrested says s13 but they are the same as zed ones.

trouble is, if they are actually seized in the bushes you will just be twisting the bush inside the arm.
