It'd be a shame if they pulled the plug on it.

Yes it has quite a few Scoobys and Evos but so does the Japanese car scene.

Although Japanese Performance is the best car mag for the fan of Japanese cars IMHO. ;)

They have done some nice featurers and some cars from this club have been in it. So I'll support it

Mind you this decision will have been made by a fairly high up publisher at Future Publishing based on the magazines performance since it was launched.

I'd be very, very suprised if they change their mind based on a petition.

Is this for real? I've not heard it anywhere else. J-tuner IMO is the best car mag out there. Its one of the few that actually promote some kind of common sense and encourages people to learn about their cars and enjoy driving. All the others just have '2million bhp massive turbo that has never seen a track' cars. J-tuner reguarly has proper enthusiast car features and not just headline grabbers. Plus they make an effort to get real people in the mag and not just expensive tuning house cars. I'll be well gutted if its dis-continued. When was the last time a Zed feature to match the brunters thrash was in any of the other mags?

For those that want the magazine to continue ,send a mail to the head boyo at future publishing

Yes it is absolutely true! No rumours, fact!! Two issues more, then no more!

Though the decision has been made the Managing Director is watching these threads, so we'll have to see! If they got their distribution sorted out they'd have more sales, stands to reason! Redline is from the same publishing house but you rarely see the two magazines sold in the same place! I know I can get Redline in Shell garages, so why not JTuner!

I feel it's an excellent magazine that covers the whole spectrum of Japanese car ownership, from thrashes, to clubs, to tuning, drifting, etc! And the scene is growing all the time!

Bit short sighted to pull something that they can't supply properly!!

Sign that petition, if only so that you know you've had your say!!

Is this for real? I've not heard it anywhere else.

Unfortunately yes.

We've doen quite a bit with J-Tuner, they have done 2 write ups on our club meets, as well as a feature on our fammily cars and 2 small shoots for a new feature they were launching. All magazine writers are friendly, but Matt and Steve are so down to earth and involved in the scene it really showed through the magazine, without doubt the best Japanese car magazine out and the only car magazine I would be gutted about losing!

Its not a petition that would save teh mag but more subscribers.

If you cant get people to read it then they arnt going to keep it going, its a cash flow issue.

Distribution was/is their biggest failing - Redline is by the same publishing house and you can find that almost anywhere! Future's other publications include such glorious titles as Quick & Easy Cross Stitch, Cross Stitcher, Cross Stitch Collection, Your Family Tree, Good Woodworking, Scrap Book Inspirations, Simply Knitting!

Subscriptions have been an issue to - some of our club members were getting their subscribed issues after I had bought in my local Smiths! These are not dealt with in-house though!

I believe their main problem is that they paid too much for Fast Car, and bought out A&S Publishing who organised Japfest. Costs have finally hit home and we the readers have to suffer the consequences!

The final decision is being made within the next 30 days! If is closes anyway at least we have done something! I know the Managing Director is watching these forums and getting hacked off by the emails he has been receiving. I also know from Steve, the Editor, that

It's a real buzz to see everyones support, and I heavily doubt any of the other mags that have been closed have had the same reaction.

Please take the time out to sign - it doesn't cost anything!
