How the hell do you get it that clean? Im scrubbing as some things and it aint doing a thing. I cant reach half the muck too.

I used a mixture of engine degraser( brushed on, and wiped off with clean rag no water used!) WD-40 and polish.

seemed to work well, even got the old lacquer off too.

some of the above engines look so shiny is because they have had parts polished or chromed.

Alloy parts can be pollished with a polishing kit consisting of a hard and soft buffing wheel and different grade pollishes. this is a time consuming and very dirty exercise!

anything that is steel can be chromed, price depend very much on where you go, some companys like jobs on the side so they price accordingly.

hope this helps.

How do you remove that laquer stuff that seems to coat nissan engines. The cleaner I bought wouldn't touch it?

Also, what's the best paint to use on under bonnet parts? I want to re-paint the metal cambelt cover on my Z31.

Mr Duff Indeed! the second shot was later in the day and required flash to pick it up as seen by the o/s wing glare, also the car has a pearl flip so different light conditions = different shades wink.gif

Can anybody recommend something to get the lovely laquer off the garages like to spray over dirt. I must have gone through 3 toothbrushes so far.
