Where did you get the pulley from steve?

mine does it too

keep tightening but seems to squal after a few weeks

some belt-grip spray temporarily works.

Mine used to do that, I've elimenated everything and now down to changing the oil pump, lol.

oops double post ......does that one count towards the magic 1000

Just tighten it Mate all the underdrive pulley's do this as there is less driven area for the belts! Get a tape measure and measure round the driven area of the pulley and you see that the area is quite alot less so the belts tend to squeel alot easier and will need to be tightened more than before when you were using the stock pulley! Just try not to overtighten them ;)

you will find this is hard to eliminate esp if you have aftermarket electronic goodies fited esp high power audio systems as they will demand a higher current .. due to the pulley being smaller you have less surface area of belt touching and the alternator needs to spin faster as by changing to an underdrive pulley changes the ratio of the alternator .. best way is change the alternator pulley to a smaller one this will bring the gearing up but again will reduce surface area that touches it .. the best way forward IMO is a light weight standard size crank pulley .. but im unsure if anyone produces these.. underdrive pulleys were designed for track use where alternator requirements are lower .. no A/C headlights , stereo etc

A standard size Light Alloy pulley would be a Better idea as you have pointed out! ;)
