neutral position sensor or reverse switch?

Can't get my reverse lights to work for love nor money :mac1:

The only thing I can think of is that I have mistakenly plugged the neutral position sensor or reverse switch in each others place?

Is this possible or are the connectors idiot proof!

    The connectors are completely different. Probably a knackered reverse switch.
