just bought some front discs 280mm and the're too small ,dont go far enough into the caliper so the pads over lap the edge of the disc. the old discs are 295 mm and fit the caliper perfect. the calipers look standard with no relocation kit.every one lists 280mm as the right size. is it possible for any of the skyline calipers to bolt straight on to accomatate a bigger disc?? any ideas?? thanks in advance

Stock discs are 280mm, you must have had slightly larger discs from another vehicle fitted with Caliper spacers.

Skyline GTR Brembo calipers do bolt on to fit larger discs, but use 324mm discs

ive had the calipers off but there are no spacers. They bolt straight up,but standard discs dont fit them??

Sounds like you got skyline GTS-t discs which were 296mm, though it really is strecthing it with the stock calipers, so sounds like possible the GTS-t caliper is marginally larger perhaps ?, hmm weird

go for R33 bermbo's off a skyline GT-R and they will bolt straight on bud 324mm disc's and the best up-grade for a 300zx ...IMHO....

hmm, indeed. Any idea if the calipers have a serial number i can trace or something to find out for sure.I think you are right though otherwise 280mm discs would have been ok with the stock calipers. oh well, ill be back on the road one day

cheers guys for your help
