As above, I.m attempting to put the four large Urethane bushes in the rear subframe. I have the bright red versions which came as part of a huge two card collection of bushes.

Main problem is the instructions were missing(dont ask!!)

So any links, help would be appreciated or a copy of the instructions would be better.

Basically I dont know how much of the old bushes to remove???? And how you actually do it.

Anyone???

Please.

Oh I know you need a press to put the new ones in... someone else is doing that for me.

you need to remove the whole bush.quickest way is to set fire to them.the centers will fall out and you can collapse the outer sleeves in with a cold chisel.thats how ive always done them.

I'm going PU in the not too distant future. Let me know how it feels Pete. Be interesting to note the differences. Mine need replacing, so upgrading at the same time.

Jimmer and Yami are doing mine. Jimmer's got a press to push them back in.

si just tried to pm you but you arent accepting them

That's because I've not renewed my subscription yet. Must get round to doing that.

cheapskate lol

i have a problem with my rear wheels. when jacked up i can turn them quite a bit. and when going over bumps the car skips about. its undriveable. i seem to remember you having a similar problem. what was the cause? cheers graham

im thinking worn shocks, hicas arms. worn sub frame bushes. any other bushes?

HICAS arms probably. It's not that noticable as there's only very slight play in the offside one. Bushes and shocks can also do similar things.

Jack the car up and do the wheel bearing juggle, but only with hands horizontal on the wheel. Just to check for movement in the arm.

I'm replacing all mine. I have a bit of play in the arms and 2 of the bushes are weeping slightly. So over the winter it's having new springs, shocks, bushed and HICAS arms. Should feel quite solid and nice after that.

Still can't decided whether to go for Eibach or H&R.

im def fitting new shocks, it feels as tho everything is moving which suggests bushes. but can also see movement in the hicas arms. where do i get hicas arms from?

Poly bushes just push in by hand with copper grease.Take old ones out as said either burn the centre out or use a starret hole cutter on a drill from both sides and then fold outer bush shell in on its self with a cold chissel and a big hammer. Some come out easy some are a pain depends how rusty they are.Nismo bushes are the same design as nissan ones and need to be pressed in.

how big of a job is it to replace with poly bushes? how many bushes is there to replace each side?

There are 4 main mounting bushes. Then the kit has diff mounts too.

Oh and also antiroll bar bushes that are the wrong size for Jap cars!!!

All straightforward but tedious. Subframe if fookin heavy with everything mounted on it.

Mine is now stripped bare. Once I get them bleedin bushes whacked out its off to da shotblasters for a thorough derust. Then I will start the long re assembly process. Good job the car is for 2007.LOL

One in each corner. Subframe has to come off idealy.

My subframe is out cos I nackered it so I am doing the whole kit and kaboodle with poly bushes.

I'm putting an N/A subframe in and getting rid of the hicas (cheers Pete I will ring you soon for some bits)

It also gives me time and oppertunity to underseal the back end of the car and make it all nice and pretty.

Remember that That you'll need to change your speedo sender as the NA diff is a different ratio and if your running between 390 and 440 RWHP you'll have to have the drive shafts strenghtend and uprate the diff.

Quafe and OSGeeking do a kit for the diff and its not that expensive.

My mate Dave gave me the name of a guy they use who'd uprate the drive shafts as well.

Thanks for that but i'm only changing the subframe, I am reusing all the TT running gear.

you have to swap the subframe, prop, drive shafts and subframe as NA diff wouldn't fit in the TT subframe. People forget that this alters the final ratio and therefore you speedo gear will have to be a NA also
