Wicke's delivery drivers..........Jobs worth

To end my already crap week, after all the poxy copper pipe and injury.

At the job i'm on, the customer had a huge kitchen deliverd buy Wickes,

The 7.5 tonner turned up outside, with two lads in, then told me they couldnt park outside the house as it would block the road for too long, fair point, so i asked if they could park just 50ft away on a single yellow.

Bearing in mind this house is in a very very quiet street, the single yellow has virtually disappeared. No one goes there and its has never even seen a traffic warden.

I was told then that due to health and safety they could park there, but could not offload, as could only deliver to within 15 yards of the house. Then he really wound me up and said we will have to offload up the street, and you can carry the items to the house, bearing in mind there was a total of 96 items. There were a few words exchanged, and comments by me, stating "what do you do, if an old lady orders a kitchen of your crappy company" to which all i got was a shoulder shrugg. He drove off, i complained to the store in a big way. 1/2 hour later, he returns with his mate and parks where i had suggested. They didnt even have f*****g sack barrow. So i took as long as phyiscally possible to take one or two items at a time, some as heavy as two little brass door handles.(phew)

SO 2 1/2 hours later, i had got the kitchen items to the house. They complained that i have made them late for all of their other delivery's

TUFF POO you stupid poxy jobs worth twat.

(Apologuies to any delivery drivers in here, as i know you are up against time, tachos etc, but you do work hard, rather than this pillock.)

Whinge over, time to clean the zed.

Good for you. I HATE jobsworths with a passion!!! It`s the result of the selfish society we live in. If it makes their job easier and there`s nothing in it for them personally they come back with the same pathetic excuses. I get it all the time in my line of work and its always from some useless civil servant who thinks that the very people who pay their wages are an inconvenience. Instead of being there to help they put obstacles in your way constantly. Just the other week I phoned the local council to get some simple information and was told by the person who answered the phone that I couldn`t get that info as the woman who I usually speak to was off sick. Having been in the office loads of times i know that the person I was speaking to sits at the same desk as the sickie one, and I asked her why she couldn`t get it for me. Her reply was , "she gets paid more than me" WTF are these people on? And they have the nerve to talk about stress!!! When I told her I would be up to her office in 5 minutes to speak to her personally she changed her mind and said, "oh, you don`t need to put yourself out like that, I`ll do it this once". Why couldn`t she have just done it in the first place instead of wingeing.? AAAAAGGGHHH!!! Councils!! NHS!!!!! In fact most public services!!!!!!!! :slap:

Rant over

Disclaimer : Yes I`m sure there are some very nice, helpful, civil servants. Apologies to anyone who is.

I also blame the Health & Safety killjoys that are infecting our society now. Bunch of w@nkers IMO :nono:

Ok I do appreciate that H&S is a serious subject and we do not want to cause unnecessary injury to (most ;) ) people but the over-zealous regulations, restrictions, risk assessments and paperwork have made the whole thing a complete joke.

It turns already lazy people into complete jobsworths, as they just hide behind some H&S rule to avoid diong the job they are actually being paid for.

My point, casting aside the litigious society we have inherited from the good old United Stated of Arseholes, is that humanity has survived tens of thousands of years so far, do we really need to wrap everone in cotton wool "in case they may get hurt?".....

....plus if a few morons are stupid enough to injure themselves changing a light bulb then they deserve it! I call it natural selection - mother nature's way of killing off society's useless dead wood.........

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
