approx. 4l, check it on the dipstick. There was a thread on this the other day, book says 3.5l but this amount barely shows on the dipstick.

i think the sumps on j spec and uk are diff sizes. sure someone will correct me if im wrong. dont think the different is much. 0.3 litres or so

how much oil goes into these beasts (uk tt)

 

I have a UK auto TT, and with the filter change it takes just about 4 litres to show full on the dipstick.

 

Once you've filled it, start the engine to check leaks etc then leave it 1/2 hour to re-check the level. It takes ages for all the oil to drain back into the sump and give a true reading.

you would think i was changning an engine the way that i go on lol

just add 3.8ltrs then check dipstick, top up as nes! as above ^^4ltrs in normally perfect, regardless of what people say :slap:
