is the a correct direction of rotation for these? i just noticed on kirbz's brake upgrade in the forsale section his front discs are on the opposite way to mine whaic is correct?

think mine go forward looks like i'm swapping them tomorrow then lol

Good idea, the slots are to release pockets that can build up between the rotor and pad. It makes sense which way they should face when you think about it ;)

 

I have brand new slotted rotors to fit myself :)

They go round the opposite way to Kirbz normally.

 

If they go round that way, you will get a little more bite, but also eat pads much faster!!

 

The slots are there to provide edges to skim/bite into the pad.

in answer, mine are facing the "right" way as the grooves yes cut into the pads hence work better but also channel air through them to help keep them cooler

 

i suppose you could face them the other way but you would be a pussy if you did :p

Mine were facing forwards

Mine also face forwards.

 

As said above, either way is fine but forward facing slots will eat up the pads quicker, be a bit noisier but should offer more aggressive braking.
