**fitting turbos/ engine in**

is it possible to fit tubs with engine in??

Featured Replies

Possible, yes. Would I do it, no! It has been done, but would be such a pain in the arse to do. It would be a lot easier, & quicker just to pull the engine.

You can do passenger side but to do drivers side would mean making a special tool to reach the nuts and even then would be extremely difficult.

Just remove the engine! Same time to do the job either way. Also with the engine out you get chance to inspect/replace other components while you are at it. Consider throttle body coolant line bypass while you're at it ;) Also replace the turbo oil feeds EVERY time you replace the turbos ;)

Mines just been out. I had a siezed drivers side one, I guess not a surprise after 140k miles on original tubs. Not cheap either!

aye haul it oot, im sure theres other things that could do with being replaced at the same time, like the det sensor, coolant hoses, EGR valve etc....
