After eight months of working on my car it’s back on the road. I’ve done a full 60k service some performance upgrades and a full re-pray in silver rainbow metal flake (pictures very soon).

Took it for it’s m.o.t. yesterday and it past with no problems (not bad for all the work that's been done) then I taxed it.

Ooooooo…….It feels so good to get back in the driving seat, didn’t have time to drive it yesterday but I’ll be taking it out for the first time tonight.

Is it not 5.30 yet?

Well done mate - get it across to Redcar this Sunday for August's NE+Yorks meet :D

Metaflake??.......hmmmmm, I'll reserve judgment...

Glad you have it back on the road. I know what it was like when mine was off the road. Having yours off for that long must have gotten you quite frustrated. Especially with the summer we've had.

Yes; I did the re-spray in my garage at home, it’s just a single garage but don’t let that fool you. It’s amazing what you can do if you take your time and have over 20 years in custom spraying.

I thought the metal flake would be too MAX POWER but it's not like that on silver.

Some pic’s on going work, finished pic’s coming soon.

It looks like I could be on for the meet.

Well done, now enjoy the fruits of your labour

Not a fan of metaflake at all. But it's quite a subtle one I guess and that's a lovely finish you have there. Nice work.

Just notice your lip spoiler mod. Liking the 3rd brakelight. Where did you take that from?

Upgrades are powerflow custom made twin 6x4 exhaust (very loud), Blitz dump valves, Blitz turbo timer, Apexi filter and under drive pulley which I did when I did the timing belt, water pump, tensioner and thermostat.

Performance chip I think next.

It’s a back light from a BMW mini….. I was driving behind one one day and thought it looked the same shape as the tailgate skin. It took a bit moulding work to do it but it looks cool, it’s L.E.Ds.

I mixed some black to two pack clear to smoke it down.

if your over my way 2nite......pop the missud in 4 a coffee n we'll take the zeds out :D

I really like that. Although I probably would have had it the other way round. Nice work that.

...actually no I wouldn't. Looks spot on. Any pics of it from directly behind from a distance?

maybe remove the orange indicators and make them clear aswell. looks really nice though. good finish on the paint
