Just call him bud (Jason).

Dude let me have your number!!!!

Paul i'll try and give you a call tommorrow!! Cheers you could well have made my day!!

I don't know how you do it for that price.

Genuine head set is around £200, water pump is £60, pullys about £40 each (2 of), belt is abut £50. That's £350 alone for parts...and that's missing some off.

Traders can always find good parts at cheaper prices and they normally get trade discount.

Plus there is a head set at a buy it now price of £59 on EBay and it may not be Nissan genuine but most garages do not use Nissan Genuine parts anyway unless they have to!

Still don't understand the price when you have to lift the engine to do the work.

I think there is a lot of competition out there at the moment...There's always someone who can do it cheaper!! As long as the jod is done correctly then thats good isn't it??

You can help me do mine if you want :D there's not that much to it once the engine is out!! Out come the Degreaser and Engine Paint ;)

No, just heads need pressure testing, refacing plus renewal of the stem seals etc... ;)

Not saying it's not good...I'm sure it is. Just don't know how it can be done so cheaply.

For a start here's the Head set in case you need one at any time in the Future ;) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-TURBO-24v-V6-HEAD-GASKET-SET_W0QQitemZ130016276934QQihZ003QQcategoryZ10402QQtcZphotoQQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

That is a good price considering Nissan wanted to charge me £60 just for a Plenum and intake manifold gasket:(

Wouldn't go near that headset. Not heard the best of things about them. Sure I've seen a few threads on here about the cheap ebay HGs that went wrong on them. Didn't T-Pots car go wrong with them on or something?

There are plenty of people on here who will vouch for pj's work, myself included.

He prices his work so we can afford it, and we will return, cant fault that.

LOL!!! No one's not saying he doesn't do a good job! I know that he does...I just don't understand the price!!

not me mate sorry

I personally think he works on very small profit, but lots of it.

i was there the weekend he had 14 zeds on the go, its better for everyone to make small profit over and over, than the occasional big hit.

Was something topless said... here

Well that make's a difference! ;) No point wasting money if its junk :(

Mind you got another one for you to look at ;) anyone bought one of these from this Guy??

From what i have heard paul is pretty good when it comes to Zed's, he said i have to wait 3 weeks till he can do my head gaskets, a bad mechanic can't have that much work can he?? If he was doing a bad job and using rubbish parts he would exhaust his supply of zed's pretty quick at the rate he's fixing them and if he was'nt making much he would be bust so he must be doing something right. I'm going to get him do some other bits aswell, so that £500 for the gaskets he is charging is going to be more with the extra's and i'm sure there will be alot of people on here using him if they have the same problem after this thread. Lots of small amounts of money make a big amount with the customer base he is building. If he does a good job on my car he'll be seeing it alot more in the future and let's face it zed's are not the most reliable cars on the road are they.
