How many of you have removed there fan shroud on your standard radiators and have seen any change in the Temperature gauge

Would it be better to leave it on or leave it off on a standard radiator

Will be looking for a Koyo Rad later on but just considering it for the meanwhile

I've not had a shroud since I upgraded to my Koyo Fas. Not really noticed any probs with running temp, but I've heard that when stuck in traffic it can make a big difference on a hot day :(

So would you say its worthwhile keeping the shroud on?

Fas

IMO Nissan put it there for a reason and it does help to channel the air through the rad. Keep it! I've got one in the garage which I'm about to prep and paint for mine ;)

Deffo keep it on imo. Fan sits so far away from the rad without it that it might as well be doing fook all.

Just for your info. My zed get's hot if doing 5 MPH.

The koyo did not help much....try the one Bee Gee fitted...IMHO.

Am very happy with the Howe, as is Vinz I reckon :)

As for the shroud, there hasn't been one on my Z for over 8 years and most of that time was the stock rad. My temps never really go beyond 80 odd degrees.Often lower..

Don't forget it's purpose was also to prevent peeps sticking their hands infront of the vicous fan....
