Hi

Im hopefully buying a SWB N/A manual tonight

but Im having a bit of a prob with insurance

Im 23 and have just sold my Megabusa which cost me 500 quid to insure

and now they want something like £1500 for a V6 which is worth about £3k

as much as I think the Z is gorgeous I find insurance a bit of a joke

No one will do classic because either its an import

or because of age

has anyone got any help Ive tried a lot of companies now

Flux were the best

I think its a bit of mockery to themselves really theyll insure young lads On bike engine cars for peanuts but they want this much for the Z

thanks

chris

OK cheers tried all the above apart from A plan and AA

thanks

Heratage if its a 2nd car

A-plan, best I could find also

Agreed, A-Plan was the cheapest for me and they cover all modifications.

Many insurance companies don't cover all mods. In my experience, coilovers are the worst mod to cover coz most dont know what they are. Most people that have coilovers seem to insure them as just 'lowered suspension', which is wrong.

Ive treid a few more now a plan are calling me back

the others no to age and no to import SWB

I have only just turned 24, I got insured with my 300zx TT import, fully comp with A-Plan when I was 23. However, I did pay £1600. Ouch! That was the cheapest quote I found.

The price depends on the area, the closer to london, the more expensive the quote!

i'm fully comp with a plan 22 years old, 2 years ncb, twin turbo uk car, exhaust and intake, paying 850!

Yours is UK. Imports are much more expensive to insure :(

Completely true, I'm in East / Central london and recently I got quotes for up to 2 grand, and I'm 28 with 8 years NCB.

sonix, thats a lot of money! i live in london too... have you done some serious mods to your car?
