I know they are not to everyone's taste and I am still totally flumoxed as to what eactly to do to the tailgate of my Z. I personally love the 99-spec rear. BUT, unsure if it would look good on a pearl white.

 

What's people's honest opinions on these?

Dave. What's the finish on the spoilers like? IE, they are fibreglass, I've seen some fibreglass kits and body panels that have need work on them to get the surfaces totally smooth before painting.

 

Is this the case with these? I am aware they come primed, but want a very very good finish when painted.

I let my bodywork guy paint mine while he was smoothing the stonechip. As far as I'm aware he had no problems with it. The finish on mine is pot-on, and I'm very happy with it.

Incidentally, Chris got his from the same guy in the link I posted.

What was the overall cost then? Price only in relation to a US delivery address.

Well mine cost £220 from Chris, and would of cost about £100 to have sprayed (give or take) but, as I said, I had mine done along with a bit of other stuff.

As for delivery to the UK....... fook knows ;)

And as long as he doesn't use UPS, you may get away without paying import duty as well (but theres no way to guarantee it, as I found out last month :headvswal )

Oh, incidentally, as far as I know, Luke has NEVER had the 99 spec spoiler on his site, nor supplied it!

So currently, nobody in the UK is importing this spoiler.

I already did....hence the rear lights. Front bumper is staying the same though. I am one of the only people that actually likes the original front bumper. If I do anything to it, it'll be to get a Stillen Type III for it.

 

99 isn't too bad, I have to admit I hate the standard wrap around rear wing (what ever year that was).

But personally I prefere to go with something a little less common :)

99 spec is the mutts IMO I had the Big boy because I was going Strosek Wide arsed until my engine went pop.

 

I'm glad I didn't now as I've really gone off the Strosek Arches.
