i must admit the local council round here like changing speed limits with little or no warning, moving speed limit signs forward by a few hundred metres is also a favourite!

Amazin in it that when we were kids they told us the soviet union was where big brother was watchin and waiting to take away your freedoms...........ironic that in the USSR now you could probably be sponsored by the state if your gumball rally speed its way through the economy...........!

Meanwhile the shamera money scheme rolls on.

Flush the letter and deny you ever got it, or............

My missus just asked politley in writing if they could produce evidence of the camera's last calibration date........she was offered the speed awareness course and no points :) (go figure)

Fight back with road angel, road pilot and update the database every week

Good luck

Chris

It was in MCN a couple of weeks ago that speed cameras could quite possibly be illegal due to type approval regulations etc etc....... it is quite possible the treasury could be giving hundreds of millions of pounds back in compensation ;)

one of my mates got caught by an AA man the other day, no joke. i wasnt there but the 3 people in the car all say it was an AA man, with his AA van, holding up a speed camera. it flashed and he got a ticket not long later.

how can that be??!

robbin fooks i hate this country, remember when the cops did me, they got right up my rear on M1 in the middle of the night, i was quite scared so i put my foot down to try and get away as i was on my own. They followed me three junctions and pulled me coming off the M1, THey found it hilarious!! i didnt its entrapment, legalised robbery.

Yeh, had this done to me once too!

So fookin close I couldn't see half the bonnet in my mirror!! Only way I knew it was a Poo-lice car was the uniform!

Thankfully only one 'person' in the car, so only a telling off. Phew.

I hate that. One woman got her own back in Bedford she was a solictor and set them up after a number of women went to her for legal help. The police officer got done for dangerous driving the works. She'd got him on camera. The papers said she'd spent the best part of a week driving up and down the M1 at night in order to catch him.

i was told after that i could have persued it but the cost implications and the possibility of it folding was just not worth it, they were shocked when a lass wound the window down they openly admitted they thought i would be male and found the fact i was female hilarious, two of them sat me in the back of the volvo bursting a gut trying not to laugh

i've been flashed twice for doing 30 in a 40 zone, both times i honestly believed i was in a 40 zone and both times i went to court and explained myself as to why i dont believe i should pay a fine and get points on my clean driving license. both times i got let off, i just say dont be scared of the courts just be nice and reasonable and the courts can be too.

also if you get followed and get scared because you dont know if its a police car following you and they eventually stop you for speeding explain to them why you were speeding ( fear= wanting to get away fast) and more than likely they will threaten you with court...say ok and go to court.

the police are not the law they are there to uphold the law so if they did something that caused you to break the law you will get let off.

another example is if a police car is speeding with no flashing lights or siren he is breaking the law, so you can drive at a safe distance behind him and speed too and he cant do sh*t to you, just make sure theres no police cars behind you.

Should have challenged it in court - if they had video evidence it would have shown them as driving dangerously; ie tailgating at high speed.

Either that or hit the brakes and say an animal ran across the carriageway. Either way, if they had hit you they would have been up on a dangerous driving charge, coppers or not :xxx:

PS ......3000th post BTW .........:x:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
