I have bought all the kit from a low mileage 1994 to do a manual conversion and even got a garage in Stoke-on-Trent lined up to do it. All in I thought it was quite reasonable at £950 fitted.

Now the problem, my other half, who has taken to driving it recently, as I have sold her Volvo T5 Convertible, says she does not want it manual! She likes the auto.

Now not sure if I should go on ahead (and never hear the last of it) or sell the kit on, or possibly the whole job on (if someone is fairly near Stoke-on-Trent)

Is there generally a demand for the kit if I ended up reselling?

Sell the other half .. The cars feels like a real sports car with a manual box in it !!!! .. get a shot in one or ask Ronnie :)

Craig

Personaly I would do the convirsion and put in a decent clutch.

Down side is it might be a bit heavy for your missus and she wont be able to use it.

Shame

how much for the parts?

Assuming I do not go ahead I am open to offers for the full kit (that is everything you would possibly need).

Will make a decision by the end of the week, but looks like I am likely to sell.

Will sell to the the best offer received by then.

I used an RPS 'street' clutch and it is virtually the same feel as the stock one - eg light. It's about half as light as the cable operated clutch on my Xantia !

mate, as much as lots of people will want the kit fit it yourself! As andyp said above rps clutches feel like noraml clutches and the mrs wont notice any different. I have an auto zed and its nice, but so wish i had a manual box! Its on my list of things to do, but im planning something different to a stock zed box, but manual has to be better!

i hav a kit for sale for £650 from a 63000 mile z32, pedles, box, bmc, flywheel, starter motor...

Ronnie has spotted this thread after having a shot of a manual car. Looks like his motors gona be in my garage a bit longer than planned. Such is life

ronflat how does £250 sound?

I assume this is a joke?

It sounds like the sum of money you might buy a few of the bits with, maybe pedals and prop, but certainly not a full conversion kit from a low mileage 1994 car. Good luck with your search.........................

so instead of letting people guess how much why not just put the figure you want on it??

Did you go for a Sport or a Max? If it's really light, I presume it was the Sport?

Is there any point in going for a Max unless you're running big power?

OK the clue was in the fact that it was costing me £950.

To update things, I have received an offer of £750 for the who lot, as I previously said, I am open to offers before the end of the week.

So yes thanks for your offer of £250.

whatever mate tbh no need to be sarcastic if you read your first thread its 950 fitted and i dont have a clue how much these things are ok..

so gd luck with your sale and thanks for the free sarcasm..
