Have tried cleaning the IAA out with wd40 and adjusted the screw on the side of it but it doesn't seem to change the idle speed, am I doing something wrong or does it mean the IAA is not working properly? cheers

unplug the seperate grey connector from the TPS for 5 sec. with the engine running.

this should activate the idle control valve.

If it doesn't, see if wiggling the connectors that are connected to the IAA make it run different...if that's the case, it's probably a bad/corroded connection on one of more of the connectors.

Have unplugged the yellow connector on the back of the IAA unit and tried adjusting the screw on the side of it, butit doesn't seem to change the idle. Not entirely sure why its good to do as the ecu reset should sort the idle out anyway?

check the TPS settings are right as the idle switch might not be set right. but as Lymon suggests, this will illiminate this

The yellow one is for Air con the grey one is the one you need to disconnect!

The grey connector is a Pig to get to unless you have small hands unlike me! but its right at the back of the plenum passenger side connected to the IAA

Its more likely that the Grey connector needs a clean!! you should not need to adjust the Idle manually!

Did you remember to reconnect it when you replaced the IAA?

There are always two connectors, a Yellow one and a Grey one!
