The "600ZXR" is still around I think, saw some pics of it not long ago. Was built by SE and afaik owned by an employee there.

 

As for skylines, not normally a huge fan of them, but that white one in the JAE show and shine was a seriously awesome looking machine.

No disrespect Steve, but it can't of been, as he says that prices for secondhand ones plummeted after Nissan stopped selling them over here!

the 600zx lol wasnt an employees of SE i think but just a guy who had work done by them, think he spent something like 80k on the car to make it look that bad lol

The "range" ended here in '94. It ended in the States in '96.

Cool vid, I havn't seen that. I love that cabriolet TT. They really show the car in good light as well, apart from the skyline comment (!) then again I wouldn't mind :)

Ive never dreamt of a skyline in my life. fooking UGLY cars. Put a vauzhal carlton and a skyline next to each other and they look the same ffs.

I like Skylines, but that comment is very crass. It's certainly not a car I dream of. I dream of owning a Honda NSX next...and then a Ferrari 355.

Didn't he go on to do fifth gear or something on Channel 5? He was a motorbike head anyway. It's like me road testing an R1, wouldn't know the first thing about them. Least he likes the Z though.

On reflection I think you're right Dave :D This was screened a while before I met Peter R and I recognised him from this feature. Must have been late 90s then ;)

I paid mid 20s in 1997 for my current Zed so prices were still pretty good. No disrespect to Jap owners, but this was before the "grey import" market started to flourish - that's what really fooked the prices up IMO
