I don,t know the workings of those bud but if there owt like blitz ones it,s only got a piston with a spring above it , took mine apart to clean and lube them , took about 5 mins  HTH

Cheers bud, I'll give it a go tomorrow when I get them back...

Hope I can do it... Cheers for the help! :duffer:

Has anyone else done this?

Its only a piston that pushes a rubber bung against an hole to seal it off through the pressure from a spring. When a pressure is released it dumps the pressure to atmosphere by pulling (compressing) the spring. Should free up m8 give it a go.

but I have to ask what does HTH stand for (been meaning to sk for a while :wack: )

damn, i thought it was hope that helps.

as for the valves, it only takes a few mins to strip them and free up, or at least check them...

suprised it wasnt done for you, it is possible the valve shaft is bent though, or the seal broken so need to check mate

No Idea... I'll find out when I Pick the car up from Ryan. I guess it won't dump the boost properly and it'll show on the gauge... I'll post on this thread when I find out.

Cheers

how can you tell if one has seized?

It wont work !!!thats not being funny, its as easy as that mate

there is a shaft that opens up to release the air, if its seized, that wont open.

bovs are very basic in build and easily serviced on the kitchen table lol

I ment if one is not working the otherone still makes noise so it would be pretty hard to tell as they're quite close to eachother perhaps?

you will firstly notice the bov is a lot quieter if one fails.

If you look into the ends of the bov and slightly rev the engine, you will see the shaft moving a little, if its broke it wont move
