Hi, some advice needed please :)

When enyterimng a roundabout my power steering will die making it very hard to steer. As i then use all my strength to pull the car round it will suddenly start working again.

Is becoming very dangerous as you can all understand. Do the 300's have progressive power steering system?????? If so where?????

Any advice gratefully recieved.

Try cleaning the electrical connector where it attaches to steering rack. I had same prob. this cured it for a while then had to do it again. but that seems to be the prob.

It is variable assist.

Have tried cleaning the connector about 4 days ago but still the same :(

Can the variable assist be changed independantly or is it an intrical part of the rack??

I believe the power steer is controlled by a seperate box. Check out the online service manual at http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi under the steering section
