Mines has been in Hypertech for 4 months now awaiting a head gaskett repair. No idea why its taking so long. £1400 was the quote so far.

Well I know you can get a good quality gaskett set for £300 max - so the rest is labour. I know its a big job but why its taking so long i have no idea. Im missing out on the summer :(

Hope its worth the wait. If need any more work done Paul I think i will go to Norfolk!

might just see if i can get a trailer and take it down to the zcenter or some where =o/ £1400 could get me a new engine never mind just head gaskets

I'd speak to whereever you are going to take it as I don't think that figure is all that far off due to the labour time involved. I spoke to someone recently who had been charged a similar amount for the same job and a few other bits.

i also been thinking about a v8 convertion but cant seem to find out much about it
