was it just me yesterday having serious detting problems, had to give it a motorway blast and the hot sticky weather and 16psi was totally maxing out the standed intercoolers :( water temp=95,oil temp=105 and the car was was findind it hard to make consistent boost without clicking the safe boost. took it out before and wound it up to 16 psi no problem, looks like i/c upgrade on the cards

isnt running 16psi on stock tubbies v close to maxing out the injectors too ??

:x: :x: yep

usually when it's hot outside the air is less dense, so the turbos have to work harder to get the same amount of boost as to when the weather is colder.

16psi is already out of the efficiency range of stock turbos (with cold weather), so even more so when it's hot outside.

So, the combination of hot weather + hot engine + hot intake temps (turbos running seriously out of efficiency) + lean AF (injectors running out of steam) is the perfect recipe for severe detonation and engine destruction.

The detonation sensor may have saved you from a very expensive bill.

Quoted "water temp=95" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! way too hot

Seriously this needs checking
