That's terrible. Difficult to know what to do in situations like that. Rationality would tell you to get involved. In reality, it can seem so different. I've been walking back from places late at night when I was at university in Southampton and I've seen a large group of thugs beating up a defenseless student. As inhumane as it sounds, I did not try and break it up.

 

If there were enough people there to get involved to safely break it up as was in the report, then it would have been the thing to do.

How can people ignore that ?

What was it someone on here was saying the other day about having pride in our country? not a single person tried to help???? and IF the police did catch them a judge would give them a days community service, the whole country stinks in my opinion and its just going to get worse unless the powers that be sort it.

personally feel that way to each and every person that saw it and did nothing as well, maybe not scum but definately cowards with no conscience.

I walk away from confrontation if at all possible but not when it involves someone taking a beating.

 

Nearly had my head taken off by a bottle being thrown at me for helping this poor guy up off the street and his mates thought i'd attacked him. Chased me down the street throwing bottles at me, scared the shit out of me at the time

is it any surprise that no-one stopped to help. all that would happen would be either

a) they knife you, or

b) you get arrested and they get compensation

I've had shouted, used whatever was at hand and gone in there. I've done it before and I'd do it again. case of a woman with a child in a buggy being attacted and I stepped in while a motorist phoned the police.

 

Even gave evidence in court we got the animal.

here here..a few years ago i stopped a robbery in a post office,the guy only took 37 quid but i chased him down disarmed him and waited for the police,,when they came,they told me i was an idiot for tackling an armed robber with a machettie,,i told them i didnt knew he was armed at the time and i only saw the weopon after i tackled him and it fell on the floor,,so i then used sufficent force to restrain him,,,then i was arrested for excessive force,,,later released no charge,,,the post office owner thanked me and so did a few of the coppers apart from the dickhead in charge,,what do you make of that then,,,,well my answer to the incident involving the old man is the same as my mates royal ,,,give them the kicking of there lives :rant:
