Ello chaps

Was looking at the blitz sus filter n just wondered if anyone has one fitted .. reason for asking as i had the hks mushroom on b4 xmas and water blew my MAF.. fortunatly i had the standard airbox from my old TT .. as the blitz is made from stainless steel .. will water be prone to impregnating it?

Cheers in advance guys

Had a Blitz filter fitted a fews ago and IMHO they are FAR better than a HKS foam one. Never ever had any water issues when it rained unlike most of the people that had the HKS one fitted.

Wish I'd kept my Blitz Sus. It worked as well as my HKS in terms of flow. The apexi is the only one that (IMO) doesn't. I did have a MAF die with the blitz sus though but i'm 50/50 whether that was from the filter or an already half broken MAF that I got second hand. Dave

ive had a blitz sus filter fitted for couple years with out any problems at all

My blitz SUS have been fitted for 3 years and thousands of miles in the rain with a vented headlamp panel with no problems.

cheers guys .. seems the way to go seein as mines an N/A and the apexi seems to have flow issues

Hey bud no ones ever reported flow issues with Apexi and it's probably the most commonly used filter on this forum, The Blitz and Apexi seem to flow about the same, but the Apexi has been proven to filter better thats all ;)

cheers

I have! :) People don't seem to agree with me but I've got a HKS mushroom, a blitz sus (sold on but wish i hadn't ) and an apexi. The HKS mushroom lets me make my normal boost, as does the blitz, but the apexi seems to strangle it a little and I get just under 12 psi instead of 13.8. As soon as I put the HKS back I get full boost again. I know the apexi is supposed to flow just as good blah blah and all that but I can swap them around and show it straight away. The apexi is tiny as well so kind of makes sense?? The mushroom is a nightmare for rain though, and I've also done a MAF with the blitz but that could have been a shit MAF that I was sold. I want to try the twin apexi route, do you still sell the y pipes smithy?

Dave

Had my blitzSUS for 4 years now, never had any problems with it water wise or anything else!!! Got a vented nose panel too!!! Like the noise it makes when under boost, sucks like a goodun too!!! :D

Check the dyno results :D same mods with different filters .. i hated the apexi on my s14a changed to a hks mushroom and i was up just under 20bhp.. but i ahve to admit the spec was pretty good Toda bottom end etc

I passed the Twincone kits onto Danny at DTA bud so drop him a line...

Zxmad, just under an extra 20bhp from an induction kit is VERY impressive bud ;)
