3 days to go until the Amsterdam/Germany/Nurburgring trip and my water pump has failed after 3500 miles back on the road.

The bearings have gone and there's water gushing out of the end of it.

Stripped things down and it looks like the new pump I supplied to Grasshopper wasn't fitted and I've been given someone elses old pump :mac1:

There's even 2 screws missing off it that the fan mounts on

Hopefully I've got one on the way for saturday morning so I'll have the day to fit it before getting the ferry on sunday - if all goes to plan...

Your prayers would be appreciated!

Good luck bud.

I've got a water pump sitting here which has done about 2k miles which I could send next day as a plan-b if you so wish?

That would be great if you could mate

I really can't miss this trip after all the time and money getting the car ready.

I'm going to see how my car is on saturday. Brakes are ok for doodling round town but need pads replaced. No time now, or money to get new pads as I was hopeing to have that all sorted.

Dropping like flies there will be only one car going at this rate and its not even a Z FFS LOL

Setting aside people who should have done what they should have done etc, better to have failed today than Monday !

Mate, I've got a brand new set of EBC GreenStuff in the garage - let me know if you're interested.

I'm moving house in a couple of weeks - so you'll be helping me too!!

Hey mines going like a good en. Though I'm only going to be running 7psi until she's done about 6K. So not as speed as I'd hoped but in the long term it will be better.

When JD gets back of Hols were going to set her up on the rolling road. Then I'll be looking at 17 psi and over boost of 20 psi maybe. Then the fun will begin.
