I had an air-horn on my red zed, that was stupidly loud.

On my black zed its got the std horn that sounds like bloody Noddy & Big ears car.

Im embarrased to use it.

So Im looking for a good horn - dont know if I want air horn or electric - anyone recommend one?

Cheers

I've got four lol, but the two i don't use on the car are standard otherwise you could have had them bud :D I tried them, they sounded a bit limp wristed lol

i have got some fiamm/ferrari genuine horns on mine, pair of tuned airhorns with small compressor and relay.

you can get the similar style horns from motorworld about £15 all in for horns, compressor and realy... i found out after!! stick them in and they sound bloody nice, not too loud and the right twin tone. when wiring its a positive set up i can put up some pics of where in the fuse box you can tap a perm live for the feed to the relay. also get a 20 amp inline fuse and holder. easy to fit and will only take about an hour. however i had some brackets made for mine so i could mount them in the same section the maf is either side of the air filter.

I had this same problem, so in the end I found a twin pack at Halfords (cant remember the price now) all it needed was an earth wire making up for each horn and 'Hay-Presto' it's fantastic......... The sort of one to scare little kids on bikes in front of you  (I would of said little old ladies carrying loads of shopping, walking across the road, but I thought that was a little too cruel ;) )

I've got a dual tone horn from a Vauxhall Cavalier lying around in the garage that I'm going to fit. Nice and loud and sounds like a 'propper' horn, not something fitted to an E reg Nissan Micra 1.0 Collette with horrible seats and two tone paintwork.

yep, the halfords horns are easy to fit, loud and look like a performance add-on pmsl.
