Hi guys,

Back from the US with some tasty 'hand luggage'. Took a punt on a set of Nismo LMGT2's by RAYs from a breaker.

They are totally contemporary to the 300zx design but I am not sure whether they will fit due to the offsets.

Rear 17 x 9 +38 offset

Front 17 x 8 + 35 offset

So listers will the fit?

What tyre sizes are recommended for these?

If they don't fit I got them cheap enough to re-furb and sell on

So.......anyone know of anyone who can re-furb a set of split rims in the north west?

Also a source for the nismo stickers on them as they are slightly damaged

thanks

chris

Offsets are fine bud

Tyre sizes needed are.......

235/45/17's for front

265/40/17's for rear!!

Fekkin nice wheels BTW :D

Did you ever get the Nismo stickers for them? I have a set of these on mine and want to get them refurbed soon, as although they are not that bad, they have seen better days!

any vinyl sign manufacturer will make you a set of stickers - wouldn't cost much. Take one to your nearest signs place and ask them.

Good luck

Guys,

I got my RAYS Nismo LMGT2's back and fitted today and boy do they look sweeeeeeet :)

The guy who re-furbed them I cannot big-up enough. A brilliant professional job and ACE customer care. He texted me all the way through the job and managed to sort the difficult things like the 200 special bolts required to replace the be-spoke design rays bolts. I got there today just in time to witness the sheer quality of the RAYS work when he balanced them up. He said "look 5grams is all it needs to balance them, I see a lot of wheels and these are brilliantly made"

We were able to compare them to some ferrari campagnolo's and lets just say the quality was not as good. :x:

Anyway I know many people re-furb wheels and there are lots of guys around but this guy Chris Massey specialises in split rims where most will not touch them. If you need his services his number is 07939081180 He is at Unit 3G Brymau 3 estate, river lane, saltney, chester, CH4 8RQ He is a top guy

OK The cost......

He charged £100 a wheel which remember included all fasteners (200) changed for correct sized stainless items, new nismo decals and note these are baked under 6 coats of lacquer so actually better than the original stick on versions. Oh yes and those following the thread will see i opted for the more up-to-date NISMO logo which I think improves the wheels. What do you think. Sizes are 17 X 8.5 and 9.5 so 1 inch wider than stock all around so fill the arches nice.

I am loving these wheels.........Now to fit the NISMO suspension and big brake kit!

They are the same as mine, heres a couple of pics so you can see what they look like on the car!DSCI0001.jpg

Yeah I agonised about keeping the nismo sticker 'in period' like yours but now glad I opted for the more modern version. Kinda timeless design tho. Where yours fitted to the car when you got it?

I have an old nismo catalogue and these wheels were like nearly 2G's to buy new.

Gotta make sure the decals are good for use in the oven tho as ideally you want them UNDER the lacquer. Shitty decals will melt........ :headvswal

Mine were fitted when I bought the car, they swung the deal actually I think they look great!
