Number plates...

Where do you guys get number plates printed?

I can't find anyone who prints rear plates to fit the space on my 1990 Jap import. Halford certainly don't.

Anyone got a URL?

I've just got my jap spec plate from Sercks in portsmouth. They've got branches so ring em at head office on 0121 717 0007/0071 or www.serckintertruck.co.uk.

Check out your local Motorbike shop - they probably have the plates - or can at least get them.

Clarkey! Go to Halfords, get a plate, cut it to size and then ask them to print it. That's what I did - no problems!

Cheers mate,

Danny

Serck, huh?

They've even got a branch in Belfast!

Thanks all.

these plates are geting difficult to get hold of because of our arse government trying to make it hard to import cars, its now law the details of the company who produced the plate is on the bottom and its also illegal to produce ones that fit the rear of jap cars. So when you do find one it will be expensive, ours sure as hell was!

Don't know about it being law yet, Clarkey. I had 2 made up just yesterday and no name of the company that made them graced the bottom of either.

Now just got to get hold of a drill and they can be put onto the Zed...

And ANOTHER thing smile.gif- it's also not illegal to make them to fit the back of imports. The company I went to not only had them on display, they were only £11.95. In fact when I asked for the number plates to be made up, he gesticulated in an off-hand manner to my Zed which could be seen through the doors in the car park (obviously) and said "For that, is it?", "Yes," quoth I. "Import, then - you'll be needing this one..." reaching for said square number plate...until I told him mine was UK Spec.
