I have got the booking form through for this event again, so am looking to gauge interest, before i spark off a real event thread wink.gif

Last years event and outcome is well documented here, so do a search if you want details....

Personally, i didn't think the track time was worth the money, compared to proper track days.

Advance tickets £5 each (paid before april 29)

Advance tickets £7.50 (paid before august 5)

Dedicated car club track time session £750 (max 40 cars = £18.75 each)

Sprint tests £7 each

Had a big palaver trying to get the track time last year, and am expecting just as much hassle this year.

If you order entry tickets through me, then i can get car passes for the club stand for each entry ticket. This is the only way to get the cars onto the stand. frown.gif

If there is interest, then

1) i will move the thread.

2) i will email my account details and request money asap.

I will not book until monies received.

Unless someone else wants to take over the organisation of it..... wink.gif

I agree and after hearing about last years event I was glad I'd done Billing and missed TRAX!!!

What I didn't realise about Billing was that about 40 Soups were there but on the Sunday! Doh! Ibrar mentioned that the Soup brigade go on the Sunday so I was a bit gutted about that but know that Sunday is the better day for this year! wink.gif

I will probably go to TRAX but I'm not into the track time thing!

I think we got to about 70 Supras there last year. We always go on the Sunday as that just seems to be the way it works out. We tend to send our special alcoholic supra owners there for the saturday just to guard our highly prized parking spots and then the rest of us meet up before hand on the Sunday and drive in as a VERY large group.

Is anybody here going to the JAPS car meet up past Nottingham?

Do you mean the Japanese car show at thoresby hall showground, notts on 23rd June? If so i'm going to go to it.

is this the show that was at stamford hall last year as i didnt know it was on again. if it is then why not count me in for that one as it was a good laugh especially with that dodgy guy who was pa'ing

Where's Stamford Hall???

I remember this now, wasn't that show where alot of the other Jap guys went instead of Billing last year???

thats the one m8ty it was a week or two before billing and it was the first time they'd held it but it was still a very good turnout and as for when i had the ginger whinger over on the microphone in front of about 500 peeps it was piss funny...come to think of it myself and the ginger fella covered some serious miles last year going to all those shows

Yep, thats the one at Thorsebury Park. Its combined with the classic japanese motorbike show which probably tells you everything you need to know about the type of cars expected to turn up...

It appears to me JAPS is for the classics (which is what JAE was really originally all about), and JAE is for the modern Jap stuff.
