Hi

I own a 1989 Fairlady.

Up until very rececently it has been mechanically sound.

Now it cuts out for some reason.

At present I cant start it.

Could be a switch somewhere.

Can someone give me a number, I need to have it checked out.

Look at the traders on here mate for the nearest to you. Would recommend one of them over a dealers as dealers usually know nothing about the Zed. If you don't mind getting your hands dirty, there are plenty of things you can check yourself with a little help from people on here, which would save you some labour charge. The subscription is worth its weight in gold for the amount of help and knowledge on here. Give some more details and maybe we can help?

Thanks, so far.

Car cut out on A3. Waited a minute, did not turn over, waited 5 minutes, then it started and drove me home, about 20 miles.

Then on arrival it cut out..... restarted after 30 second wait, engine ran then cut out after 2 minutes (stationary).

Seems to overheat then cut out!!

Decided to drive it in to a garage, on the way 2 mins it cut out. Garage dont have experience to repair.

Not worked since.

RAC took of turbo pipe, underneath was some sort of microswitch, he messed with it, got it started, put it back together and nothing since.

Have got to admit that my first port of call would be the PTU, I live in Putney top of the A3, I have a spare PTU if you want to try it out?
