went to the car breakers yesterday - and they had 2 300Zx's (my lucky day) :hyper:

Needed

1 x on button for the aircon (it fell off whilst @ the garage and they lost it.. hmmm)

1 x glove box - coz the clips on mine broke and it stays open all the time.. so i just took it out...

1 x drivers seat if in good nick, coz i have a little hole in mine which is getting annoying...

And other bits and bobs... .

Well the cheeky car breakers sold me the whole air con unit (as they didn't want to give me the button alone.. :headvswal £35 wasted for one button

The glove box is £7.50 - but the car is sat right up on top of a 55 reg X5 (what a twat driver - burnt out) so i have to wait for them to get it down...

the drivers seat is like £45 and perfect condition.... :hyper:

oh well... basically i'm ranting about the aircon unit.... what a flagging waste.... :headvswal

I guess i can see their point tho, if there is a button missing, the potential buyer wont get it... HMPH!

Well at least you got everything you need. I'd go back to the garage now and present them with the bill for the aircon item as it was there fault.

This is why you should always go to the scrappies wearing very baggy trousers (a la MC Hammer) ... very easy to fill with "small" items that "accidentally" fell off the breaker ;) although I can see a potential problem with the seat ...

Did he have any 350x's I want a 350z steering wheel.

Going on saturday - will have a peep!

 done that bit wihen i needed plastic screws for the old astra!!

I thought that the days of the old fashioned scrappie were long gone and it was all on a shelf now? Still remember climbing stacks of cars in the late 70s early 80s (health and safety what’s that days) getting bits from cars.

There's a scappie in St Day in the deepest darkest inbred areas of Cornwall who is proper old fashioned. Doesnt' even carry change. The missus dad pulled an old alternator off of an escort and asked him how much. The bloke fiddled with it for a few mins before saying a fiver. 'I've only got a tenner, is that ok?' said missus's dad. So the bloke goes 'sorry havn't got any change' and THREW the alternator as hard as he could to the top of a huge pile of cars!
