So how did you do it?

Bought the leather and cut it yourself?

 

yeah I went to my local-ish fabric shop and they had got a load of off cuts from sunseekers (big boat company in poole £1million+) I removed the pannels including centre console and stripped the shity tweed stuff of one at a time then used the original as a template. I used a spray on 3M contact adhesive to fix the leather to the panells(make sure it does not melt plastics!

the door cards were the bigest chalange due to the odd shape and because you are not covering compleet ie.you have to poke the leather in to the dividing channel. I am not too happy with this at the moment and are currently looking for a type of round piping to fill this with to finnish.

on the whole it was suprisingly easy considering I was only going to cover the centre console lid!

looks great! have you tried to cut the material that goes behind into little slits then overlap? do you know what i mean? i'm gonna do that on mine and that will mean you dont have to poke the leather through.

come on dylan what colour is the glove box normaly! the glove box drivers knee panell and centre console lid have been covered in BLACK leather!!! I like to be a little different, and practical these are the bits that get kneed fingered and leant on.

hey latz not quite sure what you mean mate do you mean on the door card where the vynal and leather meet? I have got some fabric piping to put in this gap (not done it yet)

Sorry mate, I was viewing it on a laptop with HPA screen LOL

It looks better now on a proper screen but the view through the passenger door shows the cream colour flowing up smoothly to the glovebox, then a break, then it continues. I just think it would look smoother if the glovebox was the same colour as the panels either side (but then again, I'm a perfectionist - or a fussy old git as my friends like to put it LOL)

 

It still looks better than the original cloth and is more practical I suppose, so I'll let you off this time

right then m8ty i like it a lot now lets cut to the chase can you get the leather in black and cos i'm way too busy to attempt it myself how much are you going to charge me for you to transform mine.....did you do the cloth bits around the edge of the rear seats

Hides are not that expensive, check out www.ukhide.co.uk they are Connoly's official UK outlet to the public.

 

Around the £100 mark for a full hide and I recon that will do to replace all the cloth.

 

I've got all the bits to do this just haven't got round to it yet.

I said only the finest quality muff hair, that is muff hair from young virgins who haven't shaved it off multiple times so its not gone stubbly yet. Oh, and no ginger pubes are coming near my car right?
