your every day car??

Right i may live in a dream world, but you know you get some posh people who have cars like these for 'hobbies, weekend cars, only once in a while i'll drive it kind of thing....' (No offence to anyone!!!)

So... my zed is the only car i got, and is my every day run around!

How about you??

my zed will be my weekend car, but not because im loaded but because my mum gave me her old car when she did not want it and it works out much cheaper on fuel plus from wat i can gather the zed will ot get over speed bumps now it has been done

The Zed is my summer or dry day car. Would love to use it all the time but the fuel costs would kill me plus I want to keep it in immaculate condition

The Zed is a nothing car at the moment as it's practically dead. Although it never gets taken out in the rain or winter and is always garaged.

My zed is my everyday car. But as work is only 12 miles away and with general social driving i do about 220 miles a week which is fine i think with 45K miles on the clock.

I dont push it hard really, just enjoy the feeling of having a load of power ready if i need it :)

Z's my only car and I only drive mine weekends and the occasional evening.

But I walk to work!

certainly couldn't afford to commute to work every day in a Zed

Sundays only when I drive to church & back.

Who you calling posh!!!

About 4 days a week I have to drive 7 miles to the local station and leave the car there to go to London 55 miles away, I’ve love to take the Z as 7 miles is probably just enough to warm it up therefore avoiding the short journey problems, but the new company managing the station parking has made the bays smaller, so you pick up of minor damage (poor parking by others and scratched from bags, cases etc), also despite loads of CCTV cameras, the local Chavs or whatever, still manage to smash a window or two a month during winter evenings/nights. So my Zs only been there on the odd days when I get there early enough to bag one of the few big bays, and when I know that I’ll be home before it gets dark and the Chavs come out to play.

I bought a £256 (that’s right Two hundred and fifty six pounds) Rover 820 from eBay to abandon at the station, therefore saving my Z for best.

The Zed is my only car and I use it when I want to. I'm lucky that work is only 8 miles away so I usually cycle that. This helps with a) fuel costs b) wear and tear on the Zed c) Insurance and d) my health :D

My NA is my only car and i love it! I love standing out everytime a pull into the work car park or supermarket etc.

The downside is that you will pick up the odd dent and ding which breaks my heart but overall it's worth it. I've thought about getting a sensible car for commuting but I just know that everyday, come sun, rain or snow, i'd just be wishing I'd taken the Zed!

i drove my z to work and back every day for 2 weeks - cost me over 100 quid in fuel alone and I can only get into the smaller of the 2 car parks as the main one has a stupid ramp at the entrance! I bought a 200 quid fiesta to get to work and now I can get air down the ramp into the car park when im late without caring! Also no more rushing jobs on the z for the drive to work the next day. - Good move in imo.

hehe yes i spend about £50 a week on fuel for my zed. But it give me the king of the road feeling. And i am not a regular pub goer, night cluber.. gagh i cant lie im a computer geek who spends most of my spare time playing EVE on the internet!

£50 sounds about right.... i spend about that much! (prob more now with the new costs)

parking is ok @ work, and not many bumps on the way to work, so for the meantime i'm alright....

What did it for me was that my passanger side skirt had an argument with a low kerb when i was in a rush to get parked at work - great start to the day (head in hands moment)!

Good as new now but only because I was able to keep it off the road while filling and repainting my skirt. Ps I work 22miles from home so 50 quid a week on fuel doesnt include the weekends!

Cant beat a cheap run about, what makes it even better is that when you go from 1.3 fiesta back to the z, it makes the z feel extra fast so you dont get that "my car isnt so fast thing" after a few months of getting used to power.

always was an everyday driver for about 3 years  , then split up with me trouble & strife, thought about selling as i still pay her mortgage  , bought a shitron saxo as daily drive :nelson: :o , now sorted again, living local to work - zeds a daily driver again!! Yay!! :nana2: :nana2: :nana2:

Mines an everyday car. Costs £50 in petrol if I have to go into work everyday but I often work from home. I really want to get away from commuting one day.

I dont think Zeds respond well to be stored away but I'm going to try and get a run about next winter to avoid the salty roads and general wear and tear. Might even get a heater matrix too haha. I can definately noticed the wear that the winter gone has caused.
