It's probably been filled up with water thats now gone dirty. Sounds about right going by all the other things you've had go wrong, it probably needed filling lots and water was all they could be bothered with?

just been on the phone to a m8 he said the same prolly not had coolant in it just water thats gone dirty ,still got no idea on the oil stinking of petrol ,i just have a bad feeling of piston rings :(

your prolly right prolly the reason why it only cost a grand in japan to buy it:(my poor pocket is taking a beating but once its all done should be nice ,i hope!

Just flush the dirty water out and replace with clean and use about 20-30% good quality anti-freeze.

Don't worry too much about the oil smelling of petrol, just get some new stuff in there and take it for a good run. Then if you have a problem start worrying !

Il do that with the water cheers, thing is the engine is out at the mo,so if it is buggerd i dont wana put it back in and find i have to get it taken out again ,im getting a headache lol

Ahh, well worth doing a compression check etc then. At least you have an easy opportunity to replace the wiring loom and all the water hoses that spring a leak.

petrol in the oil means you are running far far far too rich.

also known as bore wash

Don't worry too much about the oil smelling of petrol,!

bore wash!!!>?i really dont think its running that rich.

whats it gona cost for a set of forge pistons?anyone have an idea

Standard zed pistons are forged anyhow mate. I think I paid around a £1k for pistons ,rings, and gaskets kit on my last zed although I can't remember exactly. The bore wash suggestions makes sense to, maybe theres a reason such as duff sensors or something? need someone clever to answer that.

from the stuff ive worked on if ure rings are shot u can see it breathin (smoke) out the oil filler cap when its removed just a thought

you need to ring ryan ;)

and as for dirty coolant, its no good cleaning the rad out as all that dirty rusty water will be running through your block/heads and water pipes, you need a proper coolant flush using an inhibitor, what will happen if you just clean the rad and top up with fresh coolant is 10miles later the water will be brown,so attach water hose to upper intake pipe with rad out and flush through. and clean the rad out properly until it runs clean

A duff temp sensor will cause it to run rich, are your tail pipes black?

Thge temp sensor could well be giving duff readings if its been sat in mucky water.

thanks for all the help:) yeah exausts are very black ,OMG a grand for pistons after spending what i have i dont have a grand to hand:(

I had petrol in the oil. Was not done in pistons, It was over oiled, another way to get bore wash. It was also heavily over fuled. This was due to a upgraded chip that wasnt right. The over oiling was down to a iffy reading on the dip stick

Mines running sweat as a nut now so dont panick.

start with the cheap stuff, change the coolant and put a new sensor in.

i need to ring him?

got hold of my m8 who MOTed the car ,he said fueling was ok not over fueling at all, however when i had the exhaust fitted i wonder if that may have caused it to over fuel (decated),i found a set of pistons here http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/engperf.php and at that price im just gona change the bleeders

Nice one, cheaper than nissan oem! Smithy does excellent service as well. Remember you'll need other stuff to, if you havn't already got it. Rings, gaskets, etc that will bring the price up a few hundred.

Royal, standard TT pistons are not forged, thats why people upgrade. Rods and crank are forged items though.
