Manual tubs on auto

i was told putting auto ones on a manual would give you a little more torque??? was i ill informed?

    thing with the auto is that the cams are different as well as tubs. Overall the auto's peak torque is midway and peak power around 6 ish.

     

    I was wondering if by popping on some std tubs you may get a little more mid ooomph.
