Hi folks,

I'm picking up my new Z tomorrow (300zx Twin Turbo). Couple of questions for the more knowledgable folks who know about these cars:

1) What should I specifically look out for when I inspect the car before handing over the cash.

2) Does 21,000 miles on a 1990 seem unrealistic?

3) What is the max boost the stock turbos can run safely?

4) What oil do you recommend?

All advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul.

20,000 miles sorry to be negative seems VERY unrealistic, although are u paying a lot for it? it could be genuine but the price would reflect that, id look for wear and tear, i.e gearstick steering wheel seats, pedals, if there all knackered then its been clocked

That does seem low.

Only problem is they know what your looking for on a clocked car and these things can easily be changed, like what jacks300zx said, pedals etc....

I agree with jacks I'm afraid to say. I'd go with a very, very suspicious mind. Whens the last time you saw a 15yr old car with 20k miles?? it doesn't really happen does it? Look very closely and don't get blinded by the zedness of it!

...at 21k miles it should look like new - inside and out.

Good luck

Jack

I would hazard a guess that 121,000 KM is probably more realistic. Is it UK or JDM and if it's JDM have the dials been changed from KM to MPH?

It's currently sitting at 34,000km on unchanged dials.

Are all the digits in line?

Where is it advertised, any pictures?
