Hi :nana2:

I am in Darlington, Co. Durham. My Zed (TT J-Spec Auto) has been sat in my garage for quite a number of weeks.

I have began work on restoring her and adding a few mod cons. However, time has slipped away from me and I am looking for some help ;)

I am hoping there is a knowlegable north-east owener who can finish some light engine work for me.

I require someone to finish removing my plenum for me (its about half done :x: ). If it is left with me for a few days I can polish it up and would then require it replacing. I would also like my PCV valves replacing and any other work that is recomended to be done whilst the plenum is off.

As I have already began taking off the plenum and many of the hoses connected were perished, she is a none starter until the plenum has been replaced. I am hoping that to an experienced owner none of this stuff should cause any headaches, and I REALLY would appreciate the help!! I want my Zed back for summer :hyper:

I am more than happy to pay for the service, as I would far rather pay an experianced enthusiast to work on my car, than a wrench monkey that has never even seen a 300zx before!! (Nissan, Im talking to you  )

Anyway, please let me know if you can help, and as I mentioned I am more than happy to pay so let me know a price.

Thanks guys :D :D :D

Hi mate,

I've just moved to Vane Terrace, near the Arts Centre, but the car is stuck in a garage behind the old house in Cockerton. (A68)

Have you considered doing it yourself? I remember it was the first job I ever did on my first zed. Good way of getting used to where things are. Main issues I reckon would be the fuel hoses may need replacing (smithy shiny pipes?), and as many perished coolant/vacuum hoses as you can replace. Also the 4 big pipes that go into the plenum may (probably will!) get damaged from removing them if they are old.

i will see him on the week end and get info you if yuo need it cheapest way is do it your self if you get stuck get some one then bye the way was yours the one i seen on west auckland road red in colour near the news agent

There are laws against stalking you know!!!!!! (yes, that was mine!)

It's just about the time really. I know the valves are one of the jobs Nissan hate and I really don't want to take on too steep a learning curve. I'm doing a load of other stuff to the car at the same time and I'll be doing that lot myself, I just fancy getting this one job out of the way asap so that I can move her to the new house!

Just thinking...........

I have only ever seen one Zed in Darligton and it was a dark grey.....

don't suppose it was you Mr. Wonderfull????
