I am thinking of doing a power upgrade but am getting mixed stories about the auto box being able to take the extra power.

Any of you lot chiped a 300zx twin turbo auto, if so have you had any problems with the box?

Should be fine upto the 400bhp level of the chip ugrade, not sure how much Power the Z Auto tranny can take,

Have a word with memmber Z Viking he has a level 10 tranny upgrade on his and im sure will be able to advice you better.

That is about the best i can do being one of the "Stick Boys" that i am .

On final word if you are going for a ECU upgrade make sure it is a decent one or else you will blow shit up. Go with JWT safest most concervative bet on UK petrol.

I have a 90 ZXTT with circa 75K on it. I have an HKS Super Drager Exhaust, JWT chip and Boost jets installed.

The difference in power was very noticeable to say the least.

I have driven it like this for the last 15k on a stock Auto box and it still pulls like a train.

The automatic transmission on the Z32 can probably hold quite a bit of power, but I'd suggest you first install an extra cooler...

Costs a little extra but can save you from a new transmission or rebuild..

Especially if your Z is a '90 (known to have bad/failing auto-transmission cooling)
