Upsetting SE-Nissan experience

Hi guys,

I was considering to do in one go engine rebuild and tuning (more BHP!!!!) and upgraded turbos (and maybe gear box etc..) so I got in touch with a with spcialised tuners/garages to quotes etc...

I was keen to go for Se-Nissan especially because they also have a body-shop and exterior parts like spoilers etc... So you could "virtually" do all under one roof...

but that's the problem, virtually you can probably do every thing with them, but in reality you connot do shit!!

Problem...

I have been on the phone with them, 2 guys, one I do not know the name and the oher is Andy.. I have been on the phone with them almost every day for around 10 days and sometime 2 a three calls a day.

Al I needed was a quote on the jobs to do.. and to know when they could start the works and how long it would take them to finish the jobs...

Results?... it took them 10 days (or more actually ) to do fuck all!

Every time I talked to them on the phone they said yes we will call you later on the phone with the quotes and info you need (NOTE I sent an email to them with the description of what I needed 3 TIMES... and it looks they never had the first and secon email.. but hey thy received he 3rd one!!!)

but every day they never called back or faxed r sent an email back....

that wasted my time for more then 10 days (since I wanted their quote to decide where to take my car)

And we are also talking of a big job...so plenty of money for them....

then after about 2 weeks or wasting time and money on phone calls I called them one more time and Andy was busy... and the ohter guy asked me to call in about 20 minutes...well I couldn't be bothered with them anymore so I told to the guy on the phone that I didn't know if it was worth for me to call back, because that's what I did for about 2 weeks and every time Andy tells me " I'll call you today later on with the info you need"... the alst time Andy said "I have your email in my hands now as you called on the phone. i'm doing it now I'll call you in a bit or send you an email"... he never got back to me!

So on the last call I said that if they wanted my business it was up to them to call me back with a quote because I was fed up with them and their attitude... wasting cusomters time! So again the guy on the phone took note of my name etc... but hey guess what... I didn't get a call back!

On the last call I told to the guy that I now was actaully very worried to eventually take my car to them, because if it takes to them 2 weeks to not manage to get a quote sorted out then it will probably take them 3 years to the the actually job....So i left i tup to them... I said if you want to get my custom get Andy or someone else to call me back with a quote and a time schedules....

yep they did not call me back and I wouldn't feel safe anyway to give them my car now becasue they may keep it for years!!! smile.gif

ther you go, yes I'm taking the car somewhere else next week where they have good reputation and they are also quick.. since the start the job on the car and finish it wihout stopping your to do other jobs in between...

there you go...

sorry SE-Nissan but your way to do business and to treat cusotmers is very UN-professional. you may be good at what you do, but it looks like that you don't have the time to do it... and that's not good

thanks

bye

Is Peter R aka Bin Laden?

Weird thing is I've been having dreams about driving me white 300 through a desert !!!

LMFAO - I bet in the morning you get 3 calls from Bin Laden but no show from SE biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I've never used S.E, but I just don't get it. Ages ago Pete saw the complaining on the forum and was going to do something about it - 6 months on and still the same problem. Does he not realise people will only put up with so much shit.

Vijay

All I hope, all delays and broken promises they have given me is reflected in the bill.

SE have been going for a very long time mate. In fact they are still tuning Silvias(old shape) and had a few knocking about when I was down there last.

Pete doesn't need to rely on this forum or just 300's to survive for a long time to come either, although it would help! LOL biggrin.gif

Skylines, Pulsars, 200SX's etc. So hence why it is so difficult to get in.

Age old thing, trying to juggle and keep the masses happy all at the same time! Virtually impossible.

Maybe we should rename this thread to "Duffmans Holiday!" ROFLMFAO biggrin.gif

That level of customer care is absolutely attrocious! Fair enough they may be bloody good at what they do, but sooner or later this reputation will cripple them!

It's all down to lousy management.

Peter

Oh well fuck it, going to finish work now, talk to you peeps tomorrow, tonight I will dream about having me zed back and ordering and fitting nice bits of kit from Smithy

More than happy to take any of SE's customers money for goods biggrin.gif

They took plenty of mine years ago frown.gif

Sad to see things can still be the same years after i had same problems and more, now the worms turned and i've managed to be of service to a small number of their customers already.

Will price up what i can for yer fella when yer ready and my mobiles always available to anyone 07624-490098

Harry potter doesent even know when he is being taken for a ride lol, he he he bwhahahaha

OOh do we have the Warren back with us or just someone else with spelling disease!

ManicTT - I was once in a similar position but with a Limited Edition Cav I used to have.

The garage kept the car for about 3 months after the cam belt had slipped and bent the valves whilst in their hands. It only went in for a service - not a good rogering.

Then the mechanic upt and left while my car was still fucked. I chased the bastard and he sorted it but the car was never the same again.

However, I have also been at the hands of the quick to judge but oh so un-accurate Nelsons. I am currently in a battle of correspondence to try and get some cash out of them after they tried to rob me for the brake probs I had. In the end I went to JeffTT.

I'm one of these people who believes that you get what you pay but dont believe in daylight robbery. On the other hand I dont mind paying a little bit more if I know the quality of service and honesty is there. Theres nothing worse than when a mechanic is telling you lies and to make it worse, you know he is.

We could do with more specialists dotted round the country - who actually care about what they do. Whenever I need work doing, I go to JeffTT. It is a 40 minute drive for me. Nelsons is 10 minutes away.

I would go to JeffTT everytime, even if it meant being without a car for a couple of days.

I gues I just dont want to be shafted again.

And as for marczxt - my heart goes out to you mate. Being kept in the dark about what is happening with my car kills me. Hope you get it back soon.

Just my 2p.

SE's pre sales, returning calls etc is a long standing problem unfortunately. Quality of work is top notch however. They are usually pretty busy but they should still be able to return calls. If you want a lot of work done maybe they are struggling to get a price for you. Perhaps suggest you drive the car to them, meet Pete R, talk things thru with him and get a quote. Probably a better idea than just getting a quote over the phone.

Pete, if you're watching, how about putting aside one day a month and book people in for a free consultation & quote for their Z. You must be missing loads of business. i have been thinking about phoning for some more work but I know what will happen. They'll get back to me and never will. I'm a big SE fan but it is hard to deal with them sometimes.

yes Cos a bit more money for the security of a top notch job is ok, but with SE you will never have this problem, because you will never manage to get your car in there in the first place...

and i fyou do get the car in there you will probably neve have to pay them off.. since you will never get the car back !! he he he ha eha eha eha eh ahe ahe hae

Better News today, although they didn't ring me back in morning!, I had to ring today, just got off the phone with Andy. Peter has put my ECU into another car and that overfuels it, he swapped the other cars into mine and its fine. So they have got hold of a second hand ECU which arrives this afternoon. So hopefully I will pick up my car up tomorrow afternoon. So after 3 months missing in action, my Zed sled will be operational!! You know tonight I will be unable to sleep, dreaming of a white Zed.

Very long time to find out it is just the ECU, with all the Zed's down there it could have been checked far quicker, make sure your getting your old one back, there are quite a few companies who repair faults in ECU's, so worth having as a spare or to sell.

just curious though, as the SE chip controls fueling, would it have not been cheaper and simpler to fit one.

smithy cool.gif

yeah tell me about it. Well I'll find out tomorrow the cost, Andy is saying it won't be too expensive for the second hand ECU. I did'nt want to go for an upgraded chip just yet, insurance being the main issue!! Plus if I do go for a chip I was thinking of the UNICHIP coz you can reprogram it as you add mods which will work out cheaper in the long run.

Guess what, I actually got a phone call back just now from SE, I was so shocked I nearly fell off my chair. lol

Well the second hand ECU comes in the morning which Peter will fit, so hopefully I should be able to pick it up in the afternoon. woohooo. I have to give a bigup to Andy who has pushed Peter in getting the job done.

Still a tad confused though, if their chip replaces the existing eprom and fuel mapping and they make/alter this themselves, then why not do you a chip with standard mapping in it

Just a thought (cheap one too)

smithy cool.gif

By the sound of it, it's not the maps that are the problem but the ECU itself. It would be easy to remove and put a standard (or SE chip) in place, they have a bucket load of them. I reckon that it must be some of the circuitry that controls the injectors.

Just a quick question though..... Tell us again how long you have had your car there waiting for this??? Shouldn't Peter have thought "Hmmmm that cars been there a long time, why haven't I fixed it yet......" biggrin.gif

Hey everyone, guess where I'm never gonna take MY car biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif FFS even if I parked it in the car park there, I'd probably have to wait three weeks for the car blocking me in (booked in for work) to be moved biggrin.gif

probably considering the time they took it has costed you more in taxis and buses tehn for the repair itslef... acutlaly because they took so long they should give you a £0 bill....ffs smile.gif

Update on the situation, They've discovered the chip in my ECU is not the standard Nissan one but probably of Superchip origin. It looks like its lost its fuel map programming. This makes sense as the chain of the events leading to it non starting, was the alternator belt snapping in turn making the battery flat, which could have shorted out the chip when the battery was charged up. Anyway the good news is I'm picking the car up tomorrow, I've decided to go for the upgraded SE chip. I should have an enjoyable ride back home with my new found extra power.

I've heard that when you charge a battery in the car, you have to disconnect the negative terminal otherwise you can bugger up the alternator and other electronics. Don't know how much truth there is in this though!

Shaunmac,

Correctomundo!. And the positive one also as double insurance.
