Upsetting SE-Nissan experience

Hi guys,

I was considering to do in one go engine rebuild and tuning (more BHP!!!!) and upgraded turbos (and maybe gear box etc..) so I got in touch with a with spcialised tuners/garages to quotes etc...

I was keen to go for Se-Nissan especially because they also have a body-shop and exterior parts like spoilers etc... So you could "virtually" do all under one roof...

but that's the problem, virtually you can probably do every thing with them, but in reality you connot do shit!!

Problem...

I have been on the phone with them, 2 guys, one I do not know the name and the oher is Andy.. I have been on the phone with them almost every day for around 10 days and sometime 2 a three calls a day.

Al I needed was a quote on the jobs to do.. and to know when they could start the works and how long it would take them to finish the jobs...

Results?... it took them 10 days (or more actually ) to do fuck all!

Every time I talked to them on the phone they said yes we will call you later on the phone with the quotes and info you need (NOTE I sent an email to them with the description of what I needed 3 TIMES... and it looks they never had the first and secon email.. but hey thy received he 3rd one!!!)

but every day they never called back or faxed r sent an email back....

that wasted my time for more then 10 days (since I wanted their quote to decide where to take my car)

And we are also talking of a big job...so plenty of money for them....

then after about 2 weeks or wasting time and money on phone calls I called them one more time and Andy was busy... and the ohter guy asked me to call in about 20 minutes...well I couldn't be bothered with them anymore so I told to the guy on the phone that I didn't know if it was worth for me to call back, because that's what I did for about 2 weeks and every time Andy tells me " I'll call you today later on with the info you need"... the alst time Andy said "I have your email in my hands now as you called on the phone. i'm doing it now I'll call you in a bit or send you an email"... he never got back to me!

So on the last call I said that if they wanted my business it was up to them to call me back with a quote because I was fed up with them and their attitude... wasting cusomters time! So again the guy on the phone took note of my name etc... but hey guess what... I didn't get a call back!

On the last call I told to the guy that I now was actaully very worried to eventually take my car to them, because if it takes to them 2 weeks to not manage to get a quote sorted out then it will probably take them 3 years to the the actually job....So i left i tup to them... I said if you want to get my custom get Andy or someone else to call me back with a quote and a time schedules....

yep they did not call me back and I wouldn't feel safe anyway to give them my car now becasue they may keep it for years!!! smile.gif

ther you go, yes I'm taking the car somewhere else next week where they have good reputation and they are also quick.. since the start the job on the car and finish it wihout stopping your to do other jobs in between...

there you go...

sorry SE-Nissan but your way to do business and to treat cusotmers is very UN-professional. you may be good at what you do, but it looks like that you don't have the time to do it... and that's not good

thanks

bye

Sorry to hear this matey!

I know that the customer care side could do with some serious attention where SE are concerned.

They are very good once you get in there.

Saddens me to hear this is still going on.

I rang them the other week to try and book in, earliest date I could get was 8th March but I know that three weeks down the line when you need them realistically that same week is no good to me!

You probably spoke to Paul as the other guy you mentioned.

Your right about them taking their time, my car has been with them for 4 weeks just to fix a starting problem. I've rang them everyday for 4 weeks to see the progress on my car, each day being told it will br ready tomorrow. I've been promised it will be ready this Saturday (will see). Next time I'll take it to a Nissan Main dealer to get it sorted and hang the cost.

Marc, it's not the cost that hangs you by going to a Nelson Mandella! wink.gif

Although that usually finishes you off to be honest! LOL biggrin.gif

lol.

Talking about my overfuelling problem, the last time (2 weeks ago)I actually spoke to the guy who was actually dealing with my car (Pete R) he reckons he has pinned it down to the ECU being the problem. Does anyone have a spare ECU for sale (UK spec Manual TT) ?

Marc,

Pete R runs the place, so you can rest assured that if he's looking at it progress is being made dude.

Trust me when I say that if you went to Nelson with a non-starter or rough running Z they'd charge you 30-70 odd squid for a consult test. Probably change yer PTU, CAS, COIL PACKS etc. etc. Say bye bye oh and thanks for all the green you've parted with and your car still wouldn't run any better!!! LOL biggrin.gif

Ask Pete about an SE chip upgrade and be done with it. You won't be disappointed! wink.gif

FFS all I've seen written about this company is BAD!!! The only person who seems to like them is Timmy - can a company survive off the income from one customer I hear you ask..... If it's Timmy they can biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif This is because they don't quite fix his car fully each time so he has to go back once more to get it fixed. Now I know an auto dip stick isn't part of the engine rebuild process but to return a car to a customer in less than full working order after the sum of money spent IMO is shit!!! If they'd even run the car (never mind test driven it), then they would have seen the offending dip stick. If they'd checked the level of the ATF (which they should have done after such a major job) they'd have noticed the dip stick was off! SO WHY DIDN'T THEY MENTION IT?????

Oh well I suppose I'm glad I don't have to use them......

I think the problem lies with them acceppting to many jobs and they haven't the manpower to deal with them. The quality of their workmanship I cannot comment on until I get my car back (if I get my car back). Just rang SE at 1.30 to speak to Pete, told he was on the other line, rang back at 2.00 told he is with a customer, left a message for him to ring me... I let you know if he rings back!!

I won't hold my breath then........ :d

CheerZ,

Andy

To counter this, slightly....

I rang them before Yule about my car being sprayed and how long would it take yadda yadda flarn ding and Pete said that he was a bit busy, he'd call me back. Hour and 25 minutes later, he called me back.

Said that he would send out some information.

3 days later, information turned up on my doorstep. So they do get it right sometimes. smile.gif

Well well i have to say Mr Duff for once I fully agree with your comments eek.gif , these dealers do themselves no favours by over committing their services, but when in addition work standards drop that`s the pits.

Jeff TT

Well I have to say I used them for two years with no probs, and would not go anywhere else EVER!Peter R knows more about the Z32 than anyone on here! IMHO!

Still waiting......(for the phone call back that is)

Just remember that SE aren't a fast fit centre! Once they get say 5 or 10 cars booked in for major work that's gonna be it for a while. Hold any more bookings.

Surely it's a sign of how good they are that they are always so busy? wink.gif

When I was last down there with AndyP most of the Z's I remembered being parked in the graveyard were gone but all new ones had replaced them! FFS, good effort I say.

Oh and before we all go on about how long SE take I helped Iain and Johnny push about 15 GTi-R's into Hiteq a few weeks back. Most without engines so I shouldn't think you get yer car back from them overnight either if you're in for major work!!! LMFAO biggrin.gif

P.S. notice I said me, Iain and Johnny. Duffman was keeping nice and warm with a can of Stella at the time! Loafer! ROFL biggrin.gif

Still waiting............snore...oooppps I supposed to be doing some work..I think I've caught the SE flu...

eh he he he h

Its been 2 and half hours, and still no phone call back, sod it I'm going to ring them up...

I am a fan of SE's work, but there is NO excuse for not calling people back. I normally find they need prompting once or twice.

Mr. P...we definately need to mention this to Pete next time any of us speak to him! It's not good for the image of SE when new guys don't even get a call back.

I was gonna be going in on the 8th March but dunno if I can do that now. But next time I get the opportunity I'm gonna tell Pete what's going on!

P.S. Mr Duffman, was not going for repairs mate, upgrades! wink.gif

I'll be there Saturday, but as you know that is just about the worst day to try and talk to him.

Why? Is that the day he wears headphones to listen to the radio? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

CheerZ,

Andy

The reason why I used SE, cos of different recommendations on this Forum, and also from the work they did on Hairsy's 300, Hairsy works in the same place as I do, and the quality of work they did on his brakes was superb. It is upsetting for me as I've only driven the Zed 60 miles since I bought it, and the car has been out of action for so long...I'm literally drooling at the mouth when I can drive the car again.

Just got off the phone, Paul answered, both Andy and Pete are out of the garage, he guarantees me that either Andy or Peter will ring when they get back.(fingers crossed)

you going to get cramps on those fingers or yours smile.gif

lol

sod the cramps, got pins and needles in me fingers!!!

Its 5.30 and still no call back.

Well its 6 o'clock, SE Nissan never rang after me leaving 2 messages. Obviously they are shut now. Oh well will try tomorrow.

You can leave a message on the answer phone, and sometimes, just sometimes they answer the phone in the early evening. The last resort is Pete's mobile, but that is more closely guarded that Tony Blairs (El Presidente!) batphone, and I'm certainly not posting it here ...
