Hi all,

I want to fit a set of DTM Style door mirrors on my Zed. I enquired about the one's supplied by Halfords, but they don't do the backing plate for the 300

Does anyone know of a supply source for these mirrors for the Zed? I have seen Zed's with them fitted.

Many thanks.

GUMBALL :D

Rightly so that they are not available. It would be like fitting a set of remounds to the Zed. Cup mirrors are awful and found adorning most modded Saxos about.

Apart from their appauling quality, you can't see Jack shit out of them.

Anyway, Luke at the Zcentre does nice aftermarket mirrors and I think that Chris at GetGreddy does too.

doubt you'll get dtm mirrors, nearest would be the bomex style.

not my cuppa tea, much prefer the ganador mirrors, but each to their own!

likening them to remoulds is just ferkin stupid if you ask me though! (sorry funkysi!)

Not really, both are cheap and dangerous!

CheerZ,

I know they aren't to everyones taste, and to be honest I wouldn't have bothered, but I have seen a Zed with them on, and I thought they did look quite good, the short stumpy one's that is... Don't think they were the Halford one's though.

im not up on all the standards etc, but surely the fact that they are to some bs or eu spec must mean that they cant be that dangerous?!?

(and that was a question, not an arguament ;) )

.....Ganador Mirrors...

Chris is doing a GB on them at the moment. Have a look in trader's forums. :)

Trust me, they are dangerous. I've had the misfortune of driving a car with DTM cup mirrors. The mirror glass is stupidly small and the mirror quality very poor. They came fitted to a VW Golf I bought for a runabout and nearly had an accident on the M27 as I couldn't see a thing out of them. First thing I did was remove them and replace with the originals. Absolutely terrible things. Have been in another few cars with them and they are all very very poor quality.

Due to the shape, they just don't have the width angle to them and you just cannot use them to any benefit other than what's directly behind you.

Nearly having an accident and blaming it on your inability to see out of the mirrors is a poor excuse for a not-so-good piece of driving :x: ;)

LOL, no, scores of people have said the same.
