the garage is the only place to be for the next month, i'll be ready by the time we have that days sun! about june 14th this year isn't it?

according to the other half....were all sad buggers :x:

my missus things i'm sad, but she's a bigger poser than me !!, she drives the car and the guys look at her and she stares right back at them and then just looks away with that " yeah, look at me" look.........

she can't understand why i take the car to bits and do something to it that no-one will see, but she doesn't understand that I KNOW ITS BEEN DONE, SO ITS WORTHWHILE.

Women ?????

Shes sat on the drive on S.O.R.N. looking miserable as fook but almost all the bits are in the shed and waiting for their respective turns to be finished and applied. the rear lights are all but ready the front end is on but needs a lot of sorting and the mirrors are halfway there. But it will be ready for JAE. thats my intentions although the paint wont be finished just bodged for the meeting.

dare I post a picture?????? :x:

Consider yourselves lucky as iv had my car off the road for nearly two and a half years now..............and yes its very embarrasing but its all out of my hands when people cant do the bloody job and just fvck you about

Yep mine thinks the same !! "and the problem is ??" Zed taxed tomorrow. Hope the weather gets better soon it snowed at the weekend..

A lot of what is being done to my ZED is DIY. Not because I cant afford it because I can, but because I get a lot more satisfaction out of doing the jobs I can myself. In the process I find that I can add a touch of individualality to the car aswell. So the end result might not be a show car but it will be mine and mine alone for many years to come. ;) I have had people question the fact that I have my 300zx name "viniboy" on the arse end. well its viniboy's car and viniboy done it so why not? I hope to impress people with my car eventually, so that way theres no doubt as to "who's is that lovely looking ZEd over there"? :D :x:

You can see from the picture It isnt just the ZED thats getting the treatment.

Hey m8,

My 850 is the same as yours m8, just not T5. 2.5 20v glt. Was originally owned by volvo 2 first 2000 miles, fully loaded demo car, then sold to doctor then me. Now 202000 miles l8r and only replace from wheel bearing.

I wish my zed was like this. A lot of folk would knock the old volvo but you have to agree how many cars can be like that. Reliability is #1.

my sentiments exactly. it would have been a lot cheaper and quicker to drop the zed off at ztech or the zen garage or suchlike, but have taken my time to gradually sort it out, wanted it done by last christmas :x: , now hope it can be roadworthy by jae!!!

i've learnt more about the car in the last 6 months than i think i ever will, it has cost me lots in the short run (due to having to buy lots of tools etc as well), but has given me great pleasure!!!

what started as a "simple" fix it job, has turned into completely stripping the car!

i did cheat and send my cylinder heads off to ztech tho!!! and they did an awesome job!

I agree there m8ey's,

I am doing all the stuff myself cos I can get exactly what I want. It may save ££'s in cash but if you price in your own time its a hell of a lot more

Its not that I dont trust garages etc its just that if I see something else needs cleaning or doing I'll do it, most garages will just do what u tell em.

Plus at the end of the day I can say I did that and its not like anyone elses....almost :x:

The other added benefit is that I get to understand my car a little more.

I want mine all done by end of may. I took my zed down to Cognac last year, it was bl@@dy gr8, I dont want another summer with no zed ;)

Working on Car ATM bypasing heater matrix ready for new one. Car it's getting the first bit of new bodywork Monday weeeeeee boot lip then soon after re-spry and all done !!!!!!!!!!

I've only driven my car about 10 times since I bought it in August 05 and twice its packed up on the motorway!!! Doing the series 2 PTU this week and all the pulley bearings so hopefully it will be DRIVING at least. I've still got £2,500 worth of bits over there with Luke at the Z centre. The man's a pure gentleman!! I'm going to be getting a few quid back from the taxman in a few weeks I'm just waiting on the cheque so hopefully I can get the bodywork started for the summer! :hyper:

Just spent my tax rebate on bit's from zworld targa trim's and screen trims, ooo she's gonna look tight :)
