I have just recieved some suspension off a member on here and the fronts are KYB AJX but the rears are Tokico M-B Z-32-R they have an adjustment bolt on the top as shown in pictures which is red with numbers 1 - 5 on them. Has anybody ever come across this make before and are they any good?? I have not fitted the springs to them yet before anybody say's.

Thanks in advance.

They look like the Tokico Illumina I'm fitting on my Z at the moment with some Eibach springs.

5 settings: 1 softest - 5 firmer.

Mine are white paint though.

They are very good. But it depends on yours, are they very used or not ? ....

I replace all the bushings with some polyurethane versions also (bumper stop and so on).

They appear to be in very good condition but I will know for sure once I take them to Z Tech on the 19th for the guy's to look at them. I might replace the bushings as well, where are you getting yours from?? part no's etc?? Cheers.

Se nissan [nistec] used to sell tokcio shocks and they used to swear buy them thyere good mate.

For bushings, that's a bit complicated.

I used some universal bumper stops from Honda (the form factor is essential) bought on http://www.suspension.com.

They are cheap (nothing compared to Nissan OEM).

I cut them to the right length, diameters and holes were fine.

The boots (dust boots) are some universal ones from Energy suspension also.

Spring seats are some polyurethane ones with the right diameters according to the springs tops

Finally I got the same shape with my kit than the original shock.

In my pics above is there supposed to be a rubber boot covering the silver rod which go's up and down in the middle? Has anybody got a parts diagram for Tokico illumina suspension?? Thanks in advance.

Any Uk suppliers for any of the polyurathane stuff??

I think that Luke sells the Energy Suspension items

The OEM rear shocks I have just bought are Tokico manufactured, therefore maybe the standard rubber boots could fit?

Just a thought...
