Not the Z thank fook but my astra sri.

I parked my car as normal, reversed up to the brick wall of our secure car park. Above the wall is a grass verge going up to another car park. Basically the mini has gone across the car park, down the verge, hit the brick wall, landed on my car and then rolled onto its roof. (pics to follow when i get home)

No one was hurt, no one was with any of the cars and it was 7.15am. Mine was the only car in the car park.. how bad is that.

Also its a very nice day and I so nearly came to work in the Z this morning. fookin glad i didnt..

What a great start to the week.....

If the owner of the mini is convinced that the handbrake was on, all u should have to do is look inside the mini and check. I doubt he had time to try n get in and put it on!!

He's stating the hand brake has failed so its being investigated and the insurance have left me in the lurch with no car (other than my Z of course) They are also trying to process the claim on my insurance.

So Ive rung my solicitor and i'll have a courtesy car this afternoon! :hyper: He's instructed the insurer's NOT to proceed with the claim on my policy and that he WILL be proceeding on the other parties insurance. He's also sent out independant engineer's to investigate the car's and the seen of the accident.

And all this is costing me zero! What a guy

Gutted.

*****cks the handbrake failed, the car by the looks of it had to drove over a curb to get onto the verge.

Yep there is a curb there. the mini was parked where the orange cone is in the picture. It was parked on the second level of cars.

That's sooooooooo unlucky Pete :headvswal still you should be able to make some nice claims for losses etc.

Tell him to STFU and get his insurance to pay up. He's come in too fast or drove away in first instead of reverse to get over the curb.

No-one was in the car matey

How strange. No way could a car mount a curb on a level peice of ground if it was stopped unless something pushed it. The carpark is level though...?

i actually like the turbo ones

Its not the turbo version, but was spec'd from the factory to look like one. Its just a straight forward 2.2 NA :D just what you want as a daily driver :nana2:

Had a 2.2 vectra as a hire car once, cracking engine same as the vx220. Had 135 out of it down to northampton on the way back and not bad on the old juice either. Would quite happily have one day to day :)
