after a lot of leaking down the sides im having difficulty keeping it up. my triple-gauge A-pillar i mean :p

it came supplied with velcro which did the job for a while but rainwater from my leaky targa pulled the sticky velcro away from the frame. there's a screw-hole near the top of the plastic pillar, and a rectangular hole in the same place in the metal frame behind. would a grub-screw do this job (i asked around for these and apparently they're difficult to get hold of :confused: )

at the moment all thats keeping my a-pillar up is the remaining velcro and the bloody sun visor!!!

A self tapping screw in the top will go into the edge of the plastic works a treat throw the velcro out its shite mate.

LOL - you've just described my a-pillar Dave! Will try the screw option as well because it looks naff at the moment :(

put a countersunk self tapper in the top, drill a 3mm hole and bobs your uncle, remember to countersink your a pillar too, then the screw will be flush, you only need a VERY SMALL SCREW.......

 

the screw will be hidden by your sun visor anyway........

I fitted a self tapped screw with black cap halfway down pod

i filled the square hole on the post with a piece wood just tapped in nice and tight then used a black self tapper ;)

im surprised no-ones mentioned the self-tapping screw option.

where the square hole is behind the screw hole leave the orginal clip in there and use a small piece of rubber hose in the original clip acts like a rawl plug then screw you self tapping screw in done;)

i bust the original clip when i pulled off the standard pillar :p bugger wouldnt come out! i think if i can cut some rubber to the right size and shape, slip it into the square hole so it's secure, then shove a screw into it then im onto a winner. watch this space :eek: :eek: :eek:
